My perception of St. Juste is not to let him play man or zone past 15 yards. He played well against Philly by covering the outside up to about 15 yards. Washington has to play 2 deep at safety to make this work.

His mechanics are "off" because he's been pressured, likely due to OL issues/injuries and he's compensating by backing up to buy more time.

I think that folks are putting JD in a no-win situation, if he runs, then he shouldn't, if he stands in and deliver the pass while taking the hit then he's getting hit too much.
This stuff is happening to Lamar, Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Stroud, and Love to name a few because they are trying to limit the hits and stay available to their teams. Out of all of those listed, Burrow is having more success as a passer but that's because he alone has far superior offensive weapons.

we need to let JD5 be JD5 . you cant expect him to be a great qb and only use 1/2 his skillset .

The OL hasn't done JD any favors the past few games. If you watch ALL22 you can see all 5 guys up front have performed under the expectation the previous 7-8 games. Everyone needs to pick it up!

I haven’t heard too many say that his smart running and self protection are not integral to our offense. We need him extending plays. He just needs to protect himself.

You’re right, they have under performed the last couple of weeks. But they were playing some of the best defenses in the league. Still, these are the defenses they will see in the playoffs. They have to step up

Yes, everyone has to step up on offense. The Eagles game was JD5 worst, but he is going to have games like this. He is a rookie.

I'm wondering why folks are saying JD5 is off, when this is what he's getting from the line...under duress for 26 passes and OL grades of 13.16 & 27 for a game is insane...
