Redskins' aggressive offensive approach yields strong results

Excerpt

ASHBURN, Va. -- The change occurred after losing to Dallas earlier this month. The Washington Redskins admitted they were too conservative with their play calling. That hasn’t been the case in the three games that followed.

The result: three consecutive wins and a more productive offense.

In the last three games Washington ranks second in scoring at 30 points per game and fifth in yards per game at 407.7. They’ve taken advantage of teams with weakened secondaries the past two weeks, but they’ve also executed well.

Don't know what's going to happen Sunday. When the boys and skins play throw out the records and who is and is not starting funky stuff just happens.
Looking for a clean game with no major injuries cause injuries always happen. I'm rooting for my Boys to win although a better draft pick would be a decent consolation prize if they get beat. As far as the high pick and a QB who knows what Jerry will do that's really frustrating as a Cowboys fan.

Here is to a spirited game and on to the off season planning for the Boys and the Playoffs for the Skins

He deserves an opportunity to play real snaps this season. Can't imagine not seeing him in for part of the game Sun

Alf set a new Skins rushing record of 1600+ yards at almost 5 yards a pop, the defense came up with big plays at key times, Kai went 17/18 on FGs. A HUGE pt ret from Richard Crawford probably at the most opportune time that year against Baltimore, KC balled out in his only starting gig against Cleveland. Hell, the Redskins scored as many TDs on 12 Gfiffin fumbles, 2 TDs, as opponents recoveries, 2. The Skins went 9 and 1 in the 10 games Garcon played in. that year.

You're right. Lets not get carried away. Griffin led the Skins to the NFC East title and playoffs in 2012, but he had help and it came at real key times.

Cmon man. It's no coincidence Alf enjoyed his most success with RG3 under center. I'm not saying RG3 was the only reason they had success that year, but he made everything go.

RG3 was paramount is the skins going to the playoffs that year. But it was in a specific scheme tailored to take advantage of his limited skill set.....primarily his running ability. That threat opened up other opportunities including Alf being successful and Robert's passing to wide open receivers as the defense froze due to his threat to run. Unfortunately his injury and ego killed that scheme.

Yep, Shanahan's scheme in 2012 was the real story.

I agree with the above. I don't agree with this though.......

Jon Blaze said:
2012 was pretty much all RG3.

............which is something you said on page two of this thread. He had a lottta help in 2012.
