One way to think about it - those 9-10 guys signed by other teams - were not in the top 70 of the Broncos 90-man roster (53 +16 Ps).

Not necessarily because many of them turned down the Broncos PS offer which is also a great sign in itself because we are too deep at their position.

Brandon Johnson chose the Steelers over the Broncos because of our WR depth.

Garcia Giants over Broncos.

Virgils Bills over Broncos.

But like I was saying having so many players select other PS or just simply getting an offer another team and not us is telling for us.

Jonah Griffith was considering us vs other teams last I heard.

I notice the 7th round OG is on the practice squad - so the draft was a clean sweep - that with 3 UDFA's - that's 10 rookie players.

Broncos have signed ILB Kristan Welch to their 53-man roster and waived undrafted rookie Levelle Bailey. Welch has primarily been a special teamer for Ravens and Packers previous four years. Broncos have one practice squad available for Bailey if he clears waivers.

If Bailey clears waivers and goes to the PS I suppose it is fine. Another Payton roster manipulation.

We will see. I really like Bailey in coverage but he isn’t the ST’s player Welch is.

Broncos apeared to be saving open P-Squad spot for ILB Jonas Griffith but he's currently working thru an injury. Potentially could rejoin Broncos in a couple weeks.

I understand the rules changed but being able to add someone like Kareem Jackson to a practice squad goes against what the PS was initially created for

I agree . I dont like much so far of these unbar rich owners BS that they shovel .

I think the NFL owners should be able just keep all the players they want . just keep the daily active # what ever they all deem appropriate.

The NFL IMO Should have 10 to 15 reserve players that are vested they and only the team can dip into Short of trading to other teams . and keep the practice Squad around the same # . the Vested player can be called up to the team not the practice S.

We have one open spot on the PS it was being saved for Jonah before we cut Bailey.. We would find room for both of them.

The Broncos are relying on the idea that a lot of teams have set their rosters and don't want to make a change on the margins. Sean Payton is willing to do anything to create an edge. LOL
