Sorta sucks that the 6 "good" WR's we cut that IMO we are signing the bottom 3 of the 6 back to the PS

But I get it.... Not like we didn't want the others back.

Haven't heard anything on Virgil or Incoom yet.

I think Brandon Johnson was a dumb cut but I also get it. Probably really the only cut I had a problem with but given our WR situation it isn't like it is going to hurt us. Just felt like we should have kept him.

Griffith is mauling over other offers vs us.


One positive to note.

Look at how may players we cut that other teams want to sign? It use to be like one player had a tough decision to make between our PS or others. Now we got 5-6 guys leaving us because the path is harder here. This is a great problem to have.

Also, would have loved to see B Johnson on our PS but I think he made a great decision. Goes to a team with maybe the weakest WR situation in the league. Good for him.

And still today I saw a mock draft 2025 and the Broncos were picking 2nd.

I think this is intentional by the league - now there are jobs for veteran players willing to play for something around the minimum with incentives.

Probably counts towards their health benefits after playing as well as vesting. All for it if they want to do it. Takes two, player and the team.

The practice squad has a long and complicated history. I think the current roster sizes are too small. When the NFL negotiates with the NFLPA on the next agreement, I hope the NFLPA holds out for bigger rosters in exchange for the inevitable 18 game schedule.

The vet PS rule needed to be added extending the career of many vets. The league rules with PS and salary minimum for vets really screwed vets still wanting and willing to play for cheap.

One way to think about it - those 9-10 guys signed by other teams - were not in the top 70 of the Broncos 90-man roster (53 +16 Ps).

One of the best plays last year was a TD reception by L'ilJordan Humphrey where breaks tackle and jukes guys out and at the goal like Burton just blast the guy out of the for a score by Humphrey.
