You trying to compare UW to Ohio State is flattering. I mean if we are supposed to have the same standards as a fan base it means you view us on equal footing. I have no idea why you would bother, but there it is clear as day.

There isn't anything you can say to bring any of our fans down, no matter how hard you keep trying. This is a program on the rise and is going up faster than anyone had thought possible. Barely have Sarks taint out of the building and already back on the national stage.

I still don't expect an undefeated season partially because those are rare even among elite teams. Any loss will drop them from playoff hopes and it still won't bring down any of our fans. We understand the process and know they need a few years of higher classes and more depth to be considered a perennial threat.

So keep on trying, but it's futile.

Specifically who among our base is cocky. That's the point. There is exactly one UW fan I know that might be classified as such and I know hundreds. I really don't know a single person off this site with unreasonable expectations.

To be fair, it is usually AG, but he gets pretty over the top. Also, this thread with the calling out of Wisconsin, for starters, is ridiculous considering you guys have had back to back shit schedules while Wisconsin ran a gauntlet last year. However, you're right, AG makes up a lot of it.

Most of us really don't know what UW is this year. The offense has just been weird while the defense has been dominating, but not really tested against a top QB yet. Even AG admits our kicking game is a complete and utter joke. Right now we can't trust either one to make PAT's more or less game winning FG's.

I really don't care where they are ranked right now. After they play their stretch of UCLA, Oregon, at Stanford, Utah, and WSU things will shake out where they should. Run that table and they are in. Slip up and they are maybe looking at a New Years bowl.

Well said. If you guys don't make the Playoff, I'd love nothing more than to see you face Penn State or Wisconsin in the Rose. I think that'd be an absolute slugfest, and damn fun to watch.

Because Wisconsin not only played a ridiculously tough schedule last year, but they won and finished highly ranked. They've also accomplished a lot more than Washington has in recent years, so they have more room to deserve the benefit of the doubt when they have a shitty schedule. Like Wizardhawk said up top, it's hard to say what Washington is this year, but you'll have your chances to prove yourself.
