Saw that on softy's page. It is a concept helmet so it may not make the field. They are used to show eye candy to recruits. Hard to say how that shine will look in shadow, sun, etc. As long as they keep the gold helmets I don't care if they shine them up or go more traditional.

Coach Sark announced today that they are indeed going to use the new chrome helmets at some point this season. No word on the matte black version also seen in the leaked picture.

Got no problem with them as they are purple and gold. The color scheme I always prefer on the Dawgs. The helmets look sweet and Sark said they will be used for prob one game this year.

He was the mascot the year I was born. That's why I originally picked it as my name. It fits me like a glove and I love the PACNW feel to it. Very regal.

I like the matte version better, that chrome is a little ????

Really wish Nike would stop giving all these schools the same thing Oregon has. Even though Oregon comes out with this stuff a year or two in advance. Maybe that means Oregon is about to get some newer looking designs and helmets?

I agree. Oregon should be the only team that looks absolutely ridiculous week after week with their stupid fashion shows

I think everyone has followed oregons suit Asu started using new unis, Uofa just did it and other schools like Washington and Oregon State I think its a smart thing to do believe it or not some recruits commit just because of the jerseys. It's a new trend that I'm okay with, schools like Ucla and USC may never change but getting new jerseys cool new combinations really helps with recruits. The helmet looks nice now who has the best uniforms in the pac12?
