That style isn't for everyone, but if it brings in good recruits or happens to blind an opponent and they're not putting it out there every week, I can't complain too much about it. They're at least sticking with the U-Dub color scheme, which is something that can't be said about the all-black unis they've trotted out there before. I'd be happy if they never did another "blackout" game. Is it copying Oregon? Sure, but college football is a copycat sport. If it seems to be working for one team, why not try it? As long as they don't put out 100 hideous uniform combos like Oregon has, it's fine.
