The Ringer is a niche website.

He gave up on writing because he wasn't getting close to the amount of web traffic he got funneled to Grantland Thru ESPN.

it's not profitable enough because he is an acquired taste.

I know tons of people who like his stuff.

I'm just not one of them.

I do like some of their podcasts, especially JJ's.

They probably aren't pulling in quite the haul of those cesspool pods broadcast on Barstool.

But, I'd imagine he is doing pretty well, especially if he's still being subsidized by HBO.
I liked Grantland a lot more than The Ringer.

shiiiiiit the Suns have been drafting at the top of the lotto for years and still are gonna maybe get the #1 pick again...your Lakers were terrible for 5 years and still got tons of high picks.....

Zion would help but a 19 year old Zion doesnt help THAt much.......

OKC was bad enough after drafting Durant to draft RW and Harden.

2023 Cavs will have Zion, Wise and Bronny Jr., and have a broken down LeBron as a 4th option!!!

in the words of Bart Scott:

CANT WAIT!
Gonna have to wait that's a shit ton of years waiting. Also it's not happening.

Hes actually right tho, lebron is hoping to do the same thing he did in Miami. Leave, and come back to a team loaded with young talent for a final year or two. Obviously, this time he won't be leaving with any rings like he did in Miami. It's no coincidence that the All-star game is moved to Cleveland in 2022 the same year lebrons contract is up and his son can be drafted into the NBA...

What makes this extra funny is the Warriors came extremely close to trading Draymond AND Klay for Love a few years back, when he was in Minnesota. Jerry West said he would quit the team if they did it.

Klay would have been enough in that deal lol Dray sucks now

LOL. And why does GS trade Klay for Love? Why would the Cavs be in position to draft the #1 2019 recruit after adding the supposedly mighty Zion?

Bc Zion, unforunately, has some freak injury for half the season and they shit the bed. Love gets hurt again. Zion comes back to full health after they get the 2020 #1 pick, they add Klay and they form a dynasty. Love never gets injured again and they win 4-5 ships

Does this mean the Sixers drafted Zion????
No, that would be the whole season. My bad.

Look, what you are theorizing isn't impossible, so there is that.....

Their Futures Uncertain, Kevin Love, Cavs May Be Stuck with Each Other

From the link above:

One of the executives who spoke with B/R said Love's deal and John Wall's four-year, $170 million extension are "the two worst contracts in the league."

"How many teams are really looking for a dinosaur face-up 4-man, or a 5 who can't switch pick-and-roll?" the exec said.

"The problem is: You have a rookie GM (Koby Altman)—who's a really good guy and has done some really good things and is trying to prove himself. And you've got a delusional owner [Dan Gilbert]," a Western Conference executive said. "And they're going to think they're supposed to get something for the guy. You're not getting an asset for him under any circumstances."

The best-case scenario for the Cavs is finding a contending team with a couple of bad contracts that is willing to swap those for four years of Love. What asset could the Cavs realistically hope to get back? Not much.

"The asset would be saving the last two, or maybe three years of the contract," one of the execs said.

I know one exec who would be willing to take kevin love...And he has aids

Who is the executive...Depending on the team there is a reason why he is staying anonymous

LeBron James is like Kobe.....he'd retire before coming off the bench.

That ain't happening.
