So you don’t think our constantly injured OL was hot garbage? How can we not give Perine a chance then?

On some plays most certainly. The 3rd n 1 against the Saints that likely seals the game for the Skins the entire right side of the OL just broke the fuck down. Perine had no chance on that play.

On other plays though, the 2nd n goal from the two against the Chiefs where Kelley ran through the wrong hole. He runs that play the way its designed and he trots into the end zone untouched. So while I'm convinced the OL and the RBs were both a problem in the run game last year. I'm still not sure who is more to blame though I lean more towards the RBs being the bigger issue.

I think we keep Perine and Kelley gets cut, but given my druthers. I'd rather draft an interior DL player as opposed to a RB at 13. But if we draft a safety for instance at 13. If he plays like he deserved to be the 13th pk in the draft. I'll be happy. Basically what I'm saying is we need to hit on that 13th pk whatever position the player we pick plays.

If only he had spent this much time evaluating his finances a decade ago.

Remains to be seen. If Anderson develops as a LB then it will be a good pick regardless. Also - I wouldn't trust this team in terms of trading up - if they made a move like you suggest they probably would have greatly overpaid to move up (since that is their track record).

Also - you are correct about the Bengals O line, but the Redskins O line last season at times was one of the worst in the NFL due to injuries (& I will counter any debate about their depth since injuries were occurring not only to starters but also backups - they were literally using players off the street. No NFL team is built to be 3 deep at all positions).

Is Portis back on the purple drank? Kerryon Johnson is possibly the 3rd best RB in the draft.

I take comfort in that. You were the guy who thought Christian McCaffrey was a second round pick.

I thought McCaffery would be chosen later than he was because history said he would. If you are going to make claims about my beliefs, get them right.

Combined 40 starts from 3/5 of the line. There are 80 combined starts for an OL. That is nothing and 3/5does not make an OL. Also consider Trent, Scherff, and Moses were all extremely hobbled for most of the season and it makes your assertion laughable.

Mixon had more total yards with what is in your biased opinion a worse OL. Mixon showed as much or as little as Perine.

Like I said. Those 3 banged up are 10x better than anybody Cincy had. It's not even close.

But sure keep just throwing out the bias excuse :noidea:

My argument would be you, me any of us know nothing after their first year. Maybe you are right in the long run. I like that you said he had more total yards .... he averaged 1.2 inches per carry more than Perine.

.4 more yards per touch. Take that how you want.

Obviously nobody could know how either of their careers will turn out.

Mixon will prove himself in time. He and Perine were backfield mates at OU, and I liked them both. If Cincy focuses on their OL and Washington gets its feature back both will prove valuable to each team in different ways.
