Brakley- Should be a no brainer foe the Giants @2. Did mention he leaves his feet too much which could lead to injury in the pros. Said he was the only "A" back in the draft. The rest were B's.

Guice- Was his next favorite back and would not have a problem with him @13. Said he was powerfull and reminded him of a young A. Peterson. A guy who was bigger, stronger, and faster than everyone.

Michel- Liked him over Chubb because of his catching ability. Thinks 44 would be where he would try to get him. Mentioned that he was impressed how Michel bounced back after the big fumble and scored the winning TD. It told him that Michel is a competitor.

His next favorite was Walton from Miami. Cooley gave him hell, but Portis told Gibbs not to draft Winslow too. If he doesn't like a guy he'll tell you. Said he would absolutely take Walton @44.

Ballage was his sleeper.

Was meh on Chubb but did mention he saw some DBs get out of his way. Said Michel over Chubb

Guys he did not like.
Johnson....slow, did not want to take hits, couldn't run routs or pass block. Said he would take K. Johnson off his board.

Jones II....questioned his love of the game based on what others have told him.

Penny....Said he ran to high and wanted no parts of contact. He emphasized that.

Can Chubb not catch or was he just not used? As a freshman he had 18 receptions.

Michel had 7, 26, 22, and 9 in his four years.

I'd be lying if I said I knew. All I know on Chubb is he was basically the best back in the nation or going to be, before the injury. I've seen it. It was bad. He wasn't the same but I did hear, can't rememer where, that the further away from that injury the better he will be and someone may get a steal in the 2nd.

Watch "Mark Walton Complete 2017 Season Compilation | Miami RB" on YouTube

Walter has actually been mocking Portis' guy to us for a while. He also said he didn't like Bo Scarborough from Alabama. Said he would get 1 yard, 2 yards, lose a yard, and then bust a 20 yarder because someone was scared to tackle him.

Thought he looked decent doing it at the combine. Michel is a more natural route runner so he did that more at Georgia. I doubt Chubb would ever be a real receiving baclk but I think hed be capable enough to be a true 3 down back.

Yea he was the next big thing for a while. I think people are severely overlooking him now. Might be the best pure runner in the draft. Hes my RB2 behind Saquon at the moment.

Best defensive player available at 13 or trade down for Guice. Someone really good will be there.

Pick up our RB in the 2nd. Dump a 5th-6th and trade back up if you have to. There is a chance Michel will be there.

I’m tired of pussyfooting around with these “developmental/situational” RBs as anyone. But I don’t take Guice over a special defensive player @13.

Ballage does seem like one of those guys who looks great at the combine and on a run here or there, but over the course of a game, you see he doesn't have the running instincts needed to excell over the long haul. We saw that with Matt Jones.

Michel >>> Chubb, imo - though Chubb's family sounds amazing. No doubt Chubb will be solid, but I just don't see him being any more than solid. Btw, the more I hear about Penny, the less I like him.

Being down here I heard a lot about Michel and Chubb. Chubb was much better pre injury obviously. He has slowly gotten his burst back (I'd say 100% back on explosion & change of direction) but still doesnt have the break away speed he once had. Hopefully it is just a matter of time. Michel is an interesting case. He is basically a one year wonder though he has always been used but finally broke out last year. If you watch tape from all years it looks to me like he finally put in the work required to be great. He put on so much muscle mass for this past year and it showed on the field. I remember thinking he developed an NFL body this year. Alvin Kamara is helping Michels draft stock. Few years back his draft would be different. Just my 2 cents.

I hear what you are saying on Ballage. With his size and speed you would think he'd be getting mocked higher. He has risen up the mocks though. Portis made a comment about how he wasn't in there on every down. Maybe pass pro is a weakness.

I haven't watched him yet but from what I understand he's just a bad in game rb who's big and athletic. I'd rather have somebody like johnson who's smaller with 4.55 ish speed but plays the position well.

Johnson kinda reminds me of Kelvin Bryant, but Bryant had WR hands. From reports Johnson doesn't.

I still can't believe we passed on Cook, Mixon, Mack, Hunt, etc....last year. That's where we dropped the ball.

Mack? Did Mixon show us anything?

There were games where Mixon didn't get a lot of carries, but when he did he was pretty effective. Mack broke some long one's. Perine fumbled all over the place and couldn't get a yard when we needed him to. I really liked last year's RB class and we waited too long.

I like this class too. I hope we don't wait around again.

I thought johnson looked good catching the ball in the games I watched so far. I definitely feel better about him as a receiver than I do about Jones or Chubb. Ballage is supposedly a good receiver but he has his own set of issues.
