If you have actually listened to the mayors of these cities, all have said they welcome these people, but also realize that Trump is doing this as some sort of retribution against those who oppose him.

everyday you can find a crime committed by an American, a good portion of them with guns. But those apparently dont bother you in the least.

Then welcome them. Who cares if it is done by retribution, when you claim you want them and other places don’t?

Americans commit crimes. Americans have RIGHTS in America. Very few crimes are done with guns in the US. Crimes done by Americans are bad enough and should be prosecuted. Crimes done by ILLEGALS are worse because they should not be here.

So then what happens to the kids of these internment cities, I mean the ones who are the children of these folks and who will by law be American citizens?? Are they to forced to stay within these city limits??

Of course not. US citizens are free to go where they want. Their parents are not and should not. Oh...how do they prove they are the parents and not kid nappers?

'Sanctuary City' Mayors Respond to Trump's Threat 'With Open Arms'

President Donald Trump is threatening to send detained immigrants to “sanctuary cities” across America, and many mayors have the same response: We’ll take 'em.

“What President Trump fails to understand is that America is a sanctuary country,” Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel said in a statement. “Small, medium and large cities across the nation are suddenly and rapidly identifying as sanctuary cities because of the abandonment of Americans' values, ideals and cultural destiny under President Trump’s watch.”

So its your belief that people fleeing El Salvador cant and wont possibly be just as in Danger in Mexico??? I mean like they can just whip out that El Salvadorian ID card and the Mexican Cartels will go oh geez, they dont belong to us so we should leave them in peace. I think you are right, they want to come to the US because life will be better and safer than El Salvador OR Mexico for them.

The US has much bigger problems than people entering illegally. I mean its not like not having a wall the past 200 years has destroyed the American way of life.

Wait...being in danger is not a reason for asylum according to US law. You need to keep your argument consistent.

Exactly...they want to come here for a better and easier life, not because of persecution, which is the only reason you can claim asylum according to US law. They have no RIGHT or legal standing to come here.

Actually, it doesn’t.

Then what is the problem? Put them where they are wanted, in these sanctuary cities. Why the bitching?

Why are some big name constituents now realizing they are fucked?

Good, take them, keep them, and live with the consequences.

The problem is, Trump will do everything he can to make it fail. And you guys will cheer him on, as many of you have already professed your petty vindictive stance that you hope he sends these people to these cities and it results in a rise in crime.

You are right, this country does have bigger problems than illegal immigration. I'm not even sure if its in the top 5. But that doesn't mean it shouldn't be addressed. Because, contrary to what you believe, the illegals have become a crushing burden on some areas of this country. Like bankruptcy crushing. The reality is that the illegals consume many more of our resources, in terms of the impact on schools, hospitals/medical care, housing and criminal justice, for examples, than they ever contribute in taxes. And they do bring crime. I don't care if their crime rate is lower or not. The fact is that any crime that is committed by an illegal is a crime that should have never happened as that illegal should have not been in this country if we had better border security. And part of a better border security plan is controlling who enters this country and when. Will a wall work? I have no idea. But is has to make the situation better than it is today.

1. The Majority of these PEOPLE would work and contribute legally if given that option
2. If they are working and contributing, then they no longer are a drain, but become an asset.
3. Most places that have walls/fences what have you, eventually resort to deadly force to maintain that "Security"
4. IM fine with knowing who is here and why. But when the access list reads like a color shade chart from home depot, we kind of have a problem.

What can he do to make it fail? If these people are so productive and good, they should need nothing from the federal government.

1. Block any and all federal infrastructure plans targeting states where these cities are located.
2. Push an agenda to punish businesses that employee or assist these people (and you would cheer)

1- A majority does not matter. 51% is a majority, but 51% of them doesn’t pay for the other 49%. The truth is, they are a financial burden.

2- Actually, simply working doesn’t make you an asset. You can still be a drain while working.

3- Do they resort to it or are they forced to? Is it wrong to take a life for security reasons?

4- What percentage of immigrants are of each race? Should it matter? Why do you hate white immigrants?

1- When federal tax dollars are going to these illegals, he has every right to.

2- It is illegal to hire illegals, so shouldn’t the businesses be punished? Of course I would cheer if these businesses were punished because they contribute to the problem of encouraging unlawful behavior by employing slave labor which is unfair to businesses that actually follow the law. I figured you would be against exploitation of minorities , but I guess I had too high a moral expectation of you.

1. While many want to work, the reality is that even legal and working, the jobs they take and the meager taxes they pay do not cover their costs. Most are in minimum wage type jobs. These are not tax generating jobs but positions that require greater government assistance.

2. Unfortunately not true as pointed out above. Once legal, they have access to full government support such as health care and welfare assistance. Which they will need given they types of jobs they fill. At their income levels, they are are a burden, not a contributor.

3.Very possible.

4. The access list should mirror the ethnicity/colr of those trying to come in. If 80% of those coming to a border to cross are of hispanic decent than that access list should also reflect that proportionately.

1. Just because you can do something does not make it the right thing to do.

2. Please spare me your selective fury over slave labor. And the reality is, a slave has no choice in who he or she works for and what they do for that "job", because in fact they are a slave. The only reason business owners get away with paying these people below minimum wage is because the system makes it possible. YOu want to punish someone harshly for employing illegals, start at 1600 Penn Ave and indict Trump, as there are multiple instances spanning years of him doing just that. BUt I dont see you guys wanting that slave driver held accountable.

1- I completely agree with just because you can, doesn’t make it right. People can come here and claim asylum and it doesn’t make it right. Most people coming are coming for a good reason, but not an asylum reason. They should work to make their own countries better. They are not being persecuted for their race or sexuality, which are legitimate reason to claim asylum. Some are fleeing because they want a free ride, others flee because they can make more here illegally, and others are fleeing gang violence, but these are not legitimate reasons to claim asylum.

Now, if you support a local government that supports going against federal law, why should the federal government continue funding your local?

2- Sorry, I wa using the democratic talking point of slavery. Hell, how many pro athletes compare themselves to slaves?

I am not sure how many times I have stated we should punish the employers of illegals too, and much more harshly than you think is fair. I have stated we should take away the business and go after personal assets. That isn’t the law now.

So your hatred for Trump makes you want to do something that is completely wrong and change the rules after the fact.

Answer this, would you rather America be led by a man who is nice but inept, or a man that is an ass but gets things done for the betterment of the country. Would you rather a black man as POTUS who leads the black community to food stamps and 10% unemployment, or an ASS that gets people off of food stamps and the lowest unemployment in history?
