Maybe we can charge some of this to the wall
The ability to construct things like Manchu Pichu(sp?), the Pyramids of Giza, Stonehenge, etc.. And that is just scratching the surface. The mysteries of ancient mankind/history are mind blowing. Some of the things they have dug up over the years like ancient batteries as just one example. Please tell me you have some hint of what I am talking about in your head?
YOu win... lets do this
Deporting 11 Million People Could Cost $400-600 Billion, Study Finds - The Atlantic
The answer, researchers found, is quite a lot, both to taxpayers and the economy more broadly. Removing all 11.2 million undocumented immigrants, both forcibly and through Mitt Romney's infamous "self-deportation" policy, would take about 20 years and cost the government between $400 billion and $600 billion. The impact on the economy would be even larger, according to the study: Real GDP would drop by nearly $1.6 trillion and the policy would shave 5.7 percent off economic growth. Researchers Laura Collins and Ben Gitis also write that their estimates are conservative, since they do not include, for example, the cost of constructing new courts, prisons, and other buildings that might be needed to process and detain millions of immigrants.
The statement was intended to be simplistic, maybe a bit humorous, but the point stands which you still want to dodge. Where do you draw that line? BTW: I do this because I understand the value in dumbing down based on the company. See what you did in response? You literally picked at the redundancy and totally avoided the question. I know why, now let's see if you're brave enough to answer it!
I almost forgot about this, when you all talk about Dems, Repubs, Conservatives, liberal, and the like there's one fact that holds true no matter which standard you want to defend or rail against.
"In politics, there are no permanent friends or enemies, only permanent interests."
Argue if you must, pick a side to defend, but recognize the game that's being played against YOU!!
BTW: I'm against armed military forces at the border, it's lazy and gives rise to more failure by so-called elected leaders in this country. It also supports the illogical notion that there's a way to stop or slow the importation of drugs into the country. Keep in mind that the problem doesn't lie with drugs coming in, but the demand for them.
A word about free marketing and libertarianism is in order here. While there's clearly a great demand for drug use, legal and illegal, along with the libertarian insistence of "free will," legalize them all and let both market forces and a hands off approach take its natural course must be the position, right?
Excellent...let’s do it. I expect there to be an initial drop and then a recovery.
It is funny how you hate the fact that slavery existed in the US and now ou defend modern day slavery. Notice how I said you are against US slavery. You always overlook the rest of the world’s history of slavery to include Africans then and now.
And i would say that without suppressing the vote, Republicans cant win in alot of areas.
As an Independent, I actually realize most of these people wouldnt vote to begin with. My mother in law had been here 20 years legally before she got her citizenship and voted at my behest.
Also you dont find issue with poll taxes, which is what requiring a woman to do military service in order to vote was. It was yet another way of trying to suppress a vote that could not be predicted or easily controlled.
No one required women to do military service, lol. But "equal rights" should mean they should, right?
Well since you insist on playing this out, I'll take that deal and here's how we'll pay for that wall. Yep, you get all 2000 or so miles and whatever height you desire but there will be no patrols, no guards, no electronic surveillances, no drones, nothing, except that farkin' wall! To hell with ownership rights, we invoke eminent domain, somehow redirect the Rio Grande and begin the debate about building a wall around the rest of the country. You know, just in case some of these travelers get the smart assed idea that a 2,000 mile wall has an end on both sides and try to go around it. Deal!!
You use world slavery as some sort of justification of US slavery. I have never tried to justify slavery in any form.. so there is your difference.
YOu have also advocated for Murder for those attempting to cross the border. Although I guess one would have to consider the victims actually human to call it murder.
Nope...I am just bringing up world history to you.... current slavery exists. Slavery existed in the US for 70 years...we were the quickest country in history to vanquish it. But slavery doesn’t outrage because there are more slaves in India today than there were in US history.
It wouldn’t be murder. It would be stopping an invader.
One could also say that as man advanced technologically, some of these things we would consider wonders of their time, were no longer needed and forgotten. The Pyramids are a wonder, but if we really wanted to do something like that now, it would take 1/10th the time and likely manpower.
I get it dude.. shoot a couple, stake the bodies out on crosses. The smaller the better. That will stop those invaders. Very christian of you.
Slavery in America started in 1619, when a Dutch ship brought 20 African slaves ashore in the British colony of Jamestown, Virginia.
Slavery in the US ended in 1865
Thats 246 years... but lets not quibble over 176 years shall we???
I'm talking about the mathematical genius involved in constructing those structures, the angles and alignments to the stars and sun, and how so many, if not ALL of these megaliths are found exactly on, are they called leylines?
So sure, with our machinery, we could build them faster, but do we even now yet understand all of their purposes and uses?
Have you seen those stone walls where you can't get a razor between the large stones?
You are aware that blacks owned slaves? Both in Africa and here in America, even?
Its never gonna happen. The reason they dont want it federally protected is so that states can make their own laws. I forget which state, but recently a state tried to pass a law that would allow them to charge attending doctors, nurses and the mother with murder for an abortion. Note: they do this now in Venezuela. And I thought we didnt want to be like them??
Its never gonna happen.
They can suggest it all they want, but short of a declaration of war, that will never happen, either. Just because some propose things like these doesn't mean that anywhere near the majority of the populace support them.Hope you are right. But then again we got people suggesting an electrified fence on the border, shoot on sight. These are buy and large the same people violently against abortion. So it would not shock me if there is support for something like that among our populace.
