Best case is Philly and Arizona win out and Seattle, San Fran, and Dallas all tank.

Green Bay is looking tough but I am hoping they are peaking 2 soon.

Atlanta is not laying down for Arizona. A Falcons win makes things interesting with their remaining schedule looking so tough.

Falcons are stomping Arizona. Things could get interesting in the NFC before all is said and done. 1 win will be separating GB, AZ, Seattle, Philly, and us after tonight.

Well shit. I really thought Brady was gonna lead the Pats to a victory tonight. I don't see us taking the division over the Pack at this point. But stranger things have happened.

If Detroit goes 10-6 or 11-5 and only get a wild card this will still be a wildly successful season.

The next two games are Lion trap games as these are the games Lions fans start thinking we should win easily and then the Lions get hammered. No December let down and I will start thinking these are not the SOL.

I am thinking with Arizona's schedule they are probably shitting themselves. They had a lot of things go their way and even getting the Lions in the desert was big. Now is the equalizer for them with games against the Seahawks, 49ers, Rams, and Chiefs.

Wild card would certainly would be a success. I am still holding onto that very small chance of them running the table. I myself had 8-8 I believe on one thread and 9-7 and no playoffs in another. So sure it would be a plus. My concern was how the offense was in the playoffs? Bears game was a step in right direction. Need to see more from Lombardi in coming weeks to feel comfortable.

I been talking culture change all season. This team is doing something new each week it seems. Winning in December should be one also...

The schedule didn't turn out to be as tough as I first expected.

New Orleans, Atlanta, NY Giants, and Jets were not as good as I thought they would be. Chicago has been a train wreck as well. I thought the Bears had a good chance of sweeping Detroit.

With that being said a 10 win season is success. The way the Lions have played in the NFC it would be hard for them not to make the playoffs at 10-6. But even a 10 win no playoff season is good. Considering how this team had failed down the stretch.

Lions chances of making the playoffs (per the site in the OP) is now over 82%!!!!!

Crazy thing this year is how it is likely that an 11-5 team is going to miss the playoffs.

10 of the 13 teams we have played have not been eliminated from playoff contention yet.:clap::clap:

This sucks. I had told TPaul we'd get the wildcard in a 3 team tie with Arizona because head to head wouldn't matter but I overlooked that they beat both Philly and Dallas, in which case the sweep of both would eliminate us. We may need to win week 17!!!

Detroit is in with 2 wins, the math is there with NFC tie breakers......Doesn't matter what the other teams do....Philly and Dallas have to play.....Arizona and Seattle have to play.....Two wins and Detroit is in.....The real pressure is on the next two weeks. Detroit beats Minnesota and Chicago and they are in regardless of what the other teams do.....If they lose one of those games then they have to beat Green Bay in Lambeau......It's simply best to win the next two and not have to worry about it.

Not true, Muzz. It is still possible that all 5 teams end up with 11 wins.

Muzz is correct, though, that if we win 2 of our next 3 we'll get one of the two wildcards, at the least. Win all 3 and we take the division and may wind up as the top seed in the NFC.

If we win 2, that's 11. Arizona is 10-3. They could lose 2 and still reach 11. Dallas and Philly are both 9-4. Either one could lose to the other, and still win 2 and get 11 wins. If we end in a 3-way tie with Dallas(or Philly), AND Arizona, Zona goes. 11 wins does not clinch for us, yet.

Oh, and Seahawks could lose to Zona and still get to 11. But I'm thinking they beat Zona, and ARZ wins 1 of the other games and finishes with 11

Hehe, I did when I posted if Detroit win two games there in.......Win all three and Detroit wins the divison and has a bye week #1 or #2 seed depending on how the NFC West shakes out between Seattle and Arizona......

Let's drink Kool Aid and win all three take the division and home field advantage.....That's how you take your ass to a supber bowl with fan fair....Detroit is usually just happy to make it to the playoffs and one and done.

LET'S GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!! Falcons win that would allow us one slip up against the Bears or Vikings and still be able to win the Division.

22 I know you figured it out already. Just wanted to add to the tiebreaker scenario.
Conf record Zona, Seattle and Lions 7-2 Philly 5-4 and Cowboys 6-4. 3 way tie breaker is conf record.

So, yes it would it seem Zona or Hawks get #5 seed in a tie. Lions win 2 of 3 and will get tiebreaker over both NFC East teams because of conf record. Perfect world beat GB.

I see Dallas dropping at least one to Philly or Indy.
