Since I listed guys I absolutely don't want, here's a list of guys I would love to see in Cincinnati next season.

1. Bud Dupree: Yeah, we signed MJ, but you can never have too many pass rushers. He's the number 4 player overall on my board, and if he falls (I don't think he will), I want him.

2. Malcom Brown: Defensive tackle needs beefed up. Peko's not very good, Geno still isn't 100% back, Thompson hasn't quite gotten there yet. Brown can create a pass rush, and eat up blockers.

3. Byron Jones: If we're going to pick a DB early, give me Jones over Collins easily. He's off the charts explosive, a great leader with high character, and terrific instincts in coverage and recovery speed.

4. Paul Dawson: He tested poorly, but I don't care. Watching tape, he flies to the ball, doesn't miss tackles, and is pretty solid in coverage. I'd be happy with him in the 2nd, and thrilled in the 3rd.

5. Senquez Golson: He's a turnover machine who finds himself around the ball, like Tyrann Mathieu was. If he were a few inches taller, he'd be a top 15 pick. I'll take him in the 3rd.

6. Tyler Lockett: Cincinnati needs a speedy receiver who can beat man coverage and return kicks (so we can FINALLY drop Tate). Lockett could go in round 2, but if he falls to the 3rd, gimme.

7. Michael Bennett: He played both 1 and 3 technique at Ohio State and is another DT who can rush the passer. I don't think he makes it to us in round 2, but if he does, I'd take him.

I'd have no issues with any of those guys. I like Dorsett in the 2nd a lot. Add to that Kendricks and Shaq in the first as well as Perryman in the 2nd.

I'm not a big Perryman fan. I do like Dorsett, but I don't want to use a 2 on a WR

He's a big hitter, but couldn't cover me. He's Maualuga

He is better in coverage than Maualuga and for that matter MUCH better against the run. For all the SportsHoopla about how good Maualuga is against the run, he really isn't that good by the numbers.

I wouldn't take Perryman before the 3rd. I do like Shaq and Kendricks, though there's no chance in hell the Bengals will pick either.

No we will go OT in the first and I'll yell and break things I'm sure.

If it's an OT, I want La'el Collins. If it's a LB I want Shaq Thompson (my favorite player in the draft) otherwise I'll just wait and see. I'm not expecting anything intelligent or intriguing.

For the record, I'm all for an OT. As long as it isn't Andrus Peat. That dude has bum written all over him.

Everyone bitched and complained when we took Whit in the 2nd round. It was the right move given the age of our line at the time. Same thing now. If a good OT slips to our slot in the first, they must take him.

It's not a must. It's not the biggest need on the team. We can take a tackle later. I want nothing to do with an OT in round 1.

I don't understand the logic of that, but whatever.

I would rather our first round picks always be on OL and DL every single year. Build those lines big, strong and fast, fill in at the skill positions. If you lock down OL and DL, you are 75% good. Then add a really good QB, and you are 95% there. The rest can be found and worked with, but those three areas need major talent, because almost every game is won in the trenches and on the shoulders of your QB.

With that said, we are not getting a replacement for Dalton, we have Atkins, Peko, Thompson, Sims at DT, Michael Johnson, Carlos Dunlap, Wallace Gilberry, Ivan Drago, and Will Clarke at DE. We just drafted our C of the future, we just resigned Boling long term, I would imagine they give Zeitler a long term contract as well. What we lack is quality depth at OT with both our OT's hitting FA starting next year.

In my opinion, based off the most important positions on a football team, our biggest weakness is OT at this point.

You can find serviceable LB's, CB's, S, WR, RB, TE through FA and later rounds of the draft. You spend your big dog in the draft at OL, DL or QB.

I'd be fine with an OT if that's the highest player on their board. Whitworth is at the end of his career and quality blindside tackles are hard to find in FA or after the first couple rds. Smith will be a FA after the season too. OT is an important enough position that I have no issue with that being addressed a year too early as opposed to a year too late

Ideally there's a run on WRs so one of the top pass rushers falls out of the top 20

The problem is that the value may not be there for guys who can play LT. Flowers, who I don't like at all, is a RT. Scherff is a G. Collins is probably gone ready. The best option is probably Clemmings, who needs time to learn, but does have LT ability, though he played RT in college.

I don't think an OT is as important as you all obviously. I think the interior line is much more important than the outside. Be strong at OG and C, have a great DL and LB and a S who scares WRs. I'd much rather have a LB at 21 or a DE or a DT at 21 than an OT.

You can take a tackle later? Look around the NFL - Where do you find the best tackles? Mostly guys drafted early. You late to later you get some of the Marshall Newhouse, Tanner Hawkwhatevers of the world.

The idea of drafting for immediate need is ridiculous.

I'll let Seattle and NE know.

Good point. Dominique Easly and Paul Richardson sure tore up the NFL this past season.... Glad they could fill holes.
