Yup I think that was the key last night.

They stopped playing Drummond and went smaller. Their spacing increased big time when Wes came in(even though he hit only 1 shot himself) and the driving lanes were insane.

GS is the type of team you can afford to play smaller and still be bigger than.

He shot 91.6% which is above his career average. He missed 33 free throws on the season and was 7/8 last night.

Even the best shooter in the history of the game misses easy shots sometimes.

Now that it's the playoffs, I think we'll see Drummond used similar to Dwight and Javale last year against small ball lineups. They'll start Drummond and see if they can press the size advantage for a fair amount of the first half. Then, they'll switch to Trzl and AD with AD closing the games out at 5.

Not gonna lie, yesterday hurt.

Steph had a tremendous game despite getting double teamed every possession. But he was once again too loose with the ball. I mean turnovers are to be expected when you're constantly getting double teamed, but a few of them were just questionable passes.

Draymond was amazing on defense. But in that second half he forced passes too many times and also played too loose.

The Warriors squandered a big opportunity and now they'll have to beat a Memphis team that played them tough last game. Like @bksballer89 there is no certainty with the game.

But on the flip side yesterday was the most emotionally invested I've been in a Warrior game in nearly 2+ years. It was great and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. That's about as much as you can ask for as a basketball fan IMO.

Incidental contact happens in basketball. I've been hit in the nuts, I've been smacked in the face. I've had a hard screen hit my neck.

None of them were dirty, just weird angles and bodies in motion. Draymond has minimal lift and he's two foot jumping. Even Javie said that there was no windup. This is one where Draymond's rep earns him not getting the benefit of the doubt.

There was no windup because he went straight to the face, not straight up then brought the arms down. It was a clear face guarding attempt that was dangerous. There was nothing incidental about that contact.

I think it was a flagrant but you can't call that dirty even if the refs agreed with me. Not every flagrant foul is dirty

Basketball is a very fast sport. Lebron James is coming at you hard. 2 choices there. Try to make a play on the ball that would likely end in 2 fts or move out the way and give him a free dunk

And if you choose to make a play at the ball, you have to do it in a manner that doesn’t give an easy 3 point play when you miss.

Your Lakers gotta be the most dangerous 7 seed in playoff history. The Suns had a great regular season. But they might be in trouble in the first round. Not good at this guessing game. But I think Lakers in 6.

And no reverse jinx stuff or anything. Just talking NBA playoffs. Been looking forward to them even though my team has been a disappointment all season.
