Hang on, I'm a bit confused by that stat. How could they have already lost 7 elimination games when he's only been the coach for 5 postseasons (not counting this year) and they won the Cup one of those years?

By my math, they've only been eliminated 4 times with him as coach.
That could mean elimination games for either the Pens or the opponents. Meaning any time they have eliminated an opponent, they only did it once at home, all other victories were on the road.

2009 ECQF Game 5: Loss to PHI (Won series 4-2)
2009 ECSF Game 6: Loss to WSH (Won series 4-3)
2010 ECSF Game 5: Loss to MON (Lost series 4-3)
2010 ECSF Game 7: Loss to MON (Lost series 4-3)
2011 ECQF Game 5: Loss to TB (Lost series 4-3)
2011 ECQF Game 7: Loss to TB (Lost series 4-3)
2013 ECSF Game 5: Beat OTT (Won series 4-1)
2014 ECSF Game 5: Loss to NYR (Series tied 3-3)

Games where they had a chance to eliminate a team at home. Example, twice in 2010, twice in 2011 and (now) twice in 2014 they played (are playing) at home with a chance to eliminate someone. 5 of those have been losses.

Makes sense now. Thanks for the clarification.

So, Pens 1-7 in elimination games at home. Hank with a 9-2 record in elimination games.

Well folks, "IT'S OVER!"

It's not that easy. I'm just pointing out his career numbers to let the doubters know how he performs in big spots. ;)

And I'm not denying it. Pens have the odds stacked against them. Dan Abysmal just clinches it.

Maybe thats what DB was trying to illustrate that Henrik comes up big in big games?

Seriously though not sure who those doubters would be of him, he is a great goalie.

Not saying you are. Just a general statement overall. The game is not predetermined based on his numbers or your record under Danny B, anything can happen.

I'm just very confident in this NYR team.

Yeah I get it. I guess that comes with the tag of us being one of the most hated teams in the league.

Actually, this version of the Rangers team is a lot more difficult to hate than the '94 Rangers (or as I liked to call them, Edmonton East).

That is a fair point. I thank Edmonton for the '94 Stanley Cup.

Johnny, do you know that Kevin Lowe has a picture of that '94 Rangers Cup winning team in his office at Rexall Place in Edmonton?

I'll be honest with you, if he does, I did not know that. lol but, wouldn't surprise me if he did.
