Regardless, the fact that the most fined thing this postseason has been squirting a guy with water, and I've seen countless headshots, is disturbing. Don't squirt guys with water, but please slew foot, headshot, and board away!

Don't forget spearing. That seems all the rage this year.

Is anyone honestly surprised that just Hank was fined and not Crosby? I mean, really though. :noidea:

If you're implying it has anything to do with who the players are, just give it a rest. Water bottles are the new rage. Slew foots and spears are old hat. Crosby was slew footed and speared in round one, and Dubinsky wasn't fined.

It's a fine, who cares, it's not your money, my money or anyone else's money other than the one who gets fined

All i'm asking for is punishment to be dealt out evenly. Lucic speared a 'Wing, fined, Crosby does it, nothing. The NHL is so inconsistently consistent, it's disgusting.

I'm not surprised that Crosby wasn't fined, however Bobby Mac on TSN said he expected Crosby to be fined last night.

I'm not for fighting, but I wish Boyle would have rung the bell of that hard-boiled egghead.

Agree - frankly, both deserve suspensions. The intention with both Lucic and Crosby is COMPLETELY malicious, whereas some hits during the game are not necessarily so. League needs to start delegating more off intent and less on results.

Whether the incident occurs during or after play should be another factor in the decision-making, with the latter increasing the severity of the fine/suspension.

Suspend Crosby for a game 7?! No way in hell that happens. That's just common sense. The NHL would be up in arms about it. Though, I do agree with what you said.

Thought I'd drop this here to remind you that Staal received nothing for this. Plus, he took two more liberties against Sid in these past couple of games. It's a two way street, Johnny. Your team has gotten away with cheap shots, as well.

That cross-check by Staal should have been viewed from a league that is supposedly putting the clamps down on shots to the head as a punishable act. It didn't even earn a review.

Garage league is garage league.

Good luck tonight :suds:

C'mon guys, you know by now that only Canucks (or former Canucks) get suspended in the playoffs.

:behindsofa:

I can't keep the persecution straight from one year to the next.

If I remember right, the Canucks were slated to be the suspension targets in this year's POs. But then they flamed out and missed the POs, so I think it defaulted back to the Flyers until they could find a new target, right?

But then at some point during the first round the league decided it was more fun to only suspend or fine Rangers players this year.

But then Matt Cooke did his best Matt Cooke impression (very successfully I might add). The suspension memo did say they would suspend him even though he didn't play for the Rangers, so now I'm really confused.

I'm glad you're excited. :(

Throw all the ''stats'' and ''records'' out the windows and anything predetermined they may say happen. We have one hell of a hockey game to look forward to!

Here's to some great hockey tonight!!! :yahoo: :suds:

has nothing to do with the stats or records...well, maybe records as I've seen this script before, all too often.

I have zero confidence in Abysmal making any kind of proper strategic adjustments before or during the game.
