Tremendous...hmmmm...could it be???Not only is Goedert a terrific receiver but he is also a tremendous blocker. He is an all around great TE like Gronk.

Yeah, that's the point. He isn't a $15M/year player unless he steps up his gameThat last line isn't that great of a season stat line for a TE......LOL.
No. I say improve as in worthy of having a contract about equal to Kelce and behind only Kittle on a per year basis
I don’t think anyone feels Ertz is better than Goedert. It‘s more about RTK and his homerism.Goedert was actually pretty good yesterday, and he did catch a TD that was called back due to a pick by Devonta Smith. He's going to be fine.
Is Ertz still better right now? Possibly. He has done well in Arizona. I am happy for him, hopefully he wins a second ring. But I am not feeling bad at all about keeping Goedert. He is younger and has more upside going forward IMO.
We'll have to see if they turn out to have overpaid him. It's certainly possible. But to state the obvious, you pay players for what you expect them to do, not what they have done--unless you are the Cowboys re-signing Zeke Elliott I guess.![]()

I think Goedert is better than Ertz by a decent amount. However, to pretend Goedert had a better game this weekI don’t think anyone feels Ertz is better than Goedert. It‘s more about RTK and his homerism.

Personally, I could care less. Ertz has been a huge addition to the Cards. He has been playing well in all aspects. Whether it's Kyler or Colt throwing him the ball, he has been money. That isn't true. @dbldwn711 has outright said Ertz is better in this thread and also have been trying to argue since the Cardinals traded for him that he is as well.

I do think Ertz is better. I think he’s more reliable and can carry a team more than goedert.
He also played better than goedert yesterday. That’s obvious to everyone except you
That’s my point. He steps up and can lead when the teams other leaders are unavailable. No way goedert is close to the leader Ertz has been.
Well Goedert is in his 4th year just now getting the chance be the primary TE and not have to split reps with someone else. Ertz is an established 9 year veteran who has won a Super Bowl. I don't think any young player would have the same leadership standing as an established long time veteran who has had high level of success in the league.
Leadership aside though, Ertz is not a better TE than Goedert is at this point in their careers.
You know that just sounds like a whole bunch of excuses right?
DeVonta Smith 62%. Ertz is betterHow is he more reliable when has a lower catch percentage on targets? (66.7% vs 72.3%)
DeVonta Smith 62%. Ertz is better
2.7??? Philly math?DeVonta also has a lower drop percentage of 2.7% compared to Ertz's 6.7%.
Eagles and Hurts are going to give Smith a lot of high degree of difficulty opportunities that Ertz isn't exactly getting.
2.7??? Philly math?

How concerned is Nick Sirianni about DeVonta Smith's drops?
DeVonta Smith has had a bad drop in each of the Eagles’ last two games, but Nick Sirianni knows from personal experience not to dwell on it as a head coach. By Reuben Frankwww.nbcsports.com
