Yeah I did. Goedert is the better TE and you won't find anyone other than some senile old men on this board that don't aren't up with the current times to argue otherwise.
cool story. Ertz played better today With a tiny contract.

He didn't really. Goedert 5 receptions for 62 yards and some more just top level run blocking on the way to 242 rushing yards for the Eagles against the leagues #1 rush defense.

Only you and a few of the other uniformed idiots around here that will disagree with me even if I said water was wet are going to try to argue that Ertz is better than Goedert.

Stats don't tell the whole story. Maybe to you though. Difference between me and you is that when I read a book I don't just read the words but I understand what the writer is trying to express meanwhile with that same book you don't read it but you just look at the pictures.

Why don’t you explain what tells the whole story. It’s obviously not playing without your starting quarterback or you’re starting wide receiver against a desperate division rival. So what is it? Does it only count when it favors the eagles?

Not only is Goedert a terrific receiver but he is also a tremendous blocker. He is an all around great TE like Gronk.

Did you seriously just compare Gronk to Goedert? You’re fucking lost.

I for one think Goedert is a really good all around player because he is a good blocker and receiver, but how awesome is it that the Eagles just gave this guy $15M per? Holy Crap. Knowing Howie of course he will structure it so it's a $1M cap hit for 3 years and then $56M in year 4 but for comparison purposes only - the biggest cap hit for a TE this year is $8M and next year there are only 2 players with a cap hit over $14M. His average per year is basically the same as Kelce, so tied for 2nd in the NFL. Wow...dude better improve big time or this will just be another horrible Howie mistake.

Most catches in a season for his career - 58; most TDs in a year - 5, most yards 607; current pace 52 catches, 3.5 TDs, 762 yards (I used 16 games to extrapolate this as that is what historically we are used to for ranking seasons)
That last line isn't that great of a season stat line for a TE......LOL.

Yesterday.....Ertz had 8 catches for 88 yards with 2 TD's.

Catching balls from McCoy.....

Goedert had 5 catches for 62 yards.

LOL.

Goedert was actually pretty good yesterday, and he did catch a TD that was called back due to a pick by Devonta Smith. He's going to be fine.

Is Ertz still better right now? Possibly. He has done well in Arizona. I am happy for him, hopefully he wins a second ring. But I am not feeling bad at all about keeping Goedert. He is younger and has more upside going forward IMO.

We'll have to see if they turn out to have overpaid him. It's certainly possible. But to state the obvious, you pay players for what you expect them to do, not what they have done--unless you are the Cowboys re-signing Zeke Elliott I guess. :noidea: :dhd:

You say improve as if he isn't good. He is a great blocking tight end and extremely efficient when targeted. His production has immediately gone up since Ertz was traded due to more targets. There are no real flaws to his game.
No. I say improve as in worthy of having a contract about equal to Kelce and behind only Kittle on a per year basis
