Yep, the Phillies showed-up tonight in Houston and now they can finish out the series in a relaxed state.

It’s been a long road but the Phil’s made it! Up and down, down and up! Worth it in the long run.

With Monday night's 3-0 victory over the Astros in Houston, the surging Philadelphia Phillies clinched their first National League playoff berth in 11 years, prompting interim manager Rob Thomson to say, "We're not done."

We all had doubts in our mind, retro, about the the Phillies getting to the playoffs. The dildoes were present every step along the way. And they only went 11-14 in September. They pulled it off and it was a thrill seeing the clubhouse celebration. Go Phillies!

Hoskins, Bohm, Castellanos, and Segura went 0-15 in the game. That's certainly enough to justify saying "don't know about this." Still, I'll stay optimistic as long as possible. Let's see, when can I order tickets.

Yea jvett, there remain a lot of ofers on that Dildoes roster and maybe if Houston played all of their starters today, the outcome may have been different. But the Post-season has a very distinct way of exposing a team's weaknesses and the Dildoes are going to get handed a steaming plate of hot crow at some point in the near future. We still have two major problems that have not been resolved: Major lazy-ass over-paid Dildoes like Castellfraudos; and Two, a horrible Parade of Douchebag Pitchers that can just utterly destroy a game that is won.

I'm assuming the celebration went late into the night. Having been to Houston a few times the one thing I know is they do seem to have a plethora of strip clubs. So the lackluster performance checks out.

Yeah, anything can happen. The Phillies have the most underperforming group of guys in the league based on both salary and past performance. They may just all wake up at once and go ape in the playoffs. A stretch but again it can happen, though highly unlikely.

Every once and awhile, the blind squirrel finds the nut. In this case, I am quite sure Thomson stumbled onto the very good notion that Eflin is our new and damn good closer and not Robertson.

If the Dildoes want to know what their place is in the Championship hunt, they should get a real good idea playing the Astros who have won 105 games this year. Great Pitching, and fielding, they are tough but maybe the Dildoes will see the difference between themselves and the Astros.
