Because of his age, Myers will have to play another junior season and won't be eligible to join the AHL's Lehigh Valley Phantoms until 2017-18. He said it would be "ideal" if he reached the NHL in 2018-19.

By that time, the Flyers' blue line could include home-grown defenders Shayne Gostisbehere, Provorov, Sanheim, Sam Morin and perhaps Robert Hagg - a young and gifted defensive corps that figures to be the team's identity for many years to come. That could be pretty sweet!

Hedman just made a phenomenal play to close off a 2on1 sort of play. I remember awhile back Meltzer tweeted a video of Morin making an identical play on Duclair while they were in juniors. Can't help but get excited

What a truly amazing signing that Myers was. It's as if we got ourselves an extra 1st round pick this year.

We really need to get MacDonald out of here asap with all of these elite level prospects on the way. Maybe we can trade him to a basement dweller this summer and absorb some of the cap hit if necessary. Regardless, you expect our Flyers to be starting 4 or possibly even 5 or 6 of them during the 2017-18 season.

Id like to see Morin as a 6/7 on the big club next season.
I don't think any of the prospects would stay up as a 6/7. At that point he is AHL to play real minutes. Hexy is definitely a patient GM for prospects. If he is a 5/6 he stays but he will not sty if he is sitting.

IUm not 100% sure on this but with the way our new system is all of our defensemen get plenty of ice time

I just looked it up and our lowest defenseman's ice time in the playoffs was Schultz at almost 17 minutes per game and regular season was Manning at 16.5 per game. I can see Morin maybe getting 3 more minutes per night down on the farm which comes out to two more shits per game. Im hoping Hexi doesn't bury him down there again.

Linblom in others receiving votes

Where is Stolarz?

Ya i saw that. i hope that's our Lindblom. I don't know who else it could be, but that'd be awesome.

Everyone seems to ignore goalies for the most part, in rankings like that. Hell Matt Murray just won the Stanley Cup and he's only 14th or something haha. I guess they're too much of a crap shoot to rank them?
