Well I'm not sure it's a good thing to be that high in scoring in the QMJHL, seems like guys who have real high scoring seasons in their final seasons there tned to not become that great of NHL players - but we'll see what he's got

Judging by his draft year stats alone he maybe could've been a late round pick but wasn't due to his size.

That is an absolute guess. I've never heard of him before and know essentially nothing outside of what I've learned in the past three minutes.

Yep. 3 minute reaction, I like it. Seems like a high skill guy. Super low risk.

Boy is he small though haha

reading around, consensus seems to be that he's very fast and very tenacious. gives it his all every night. creative with the puck. very solid PK'er.

and small.

hopefully he can overcome the last part! sounds like a good signing.

Cole Bardeau joins the fold as well. Cornell forward, 5-10 194lb.. character guy.. only player on the 2013 US World Junior team (gold medal) that wasn't drafted.

again, super low risk signing, I like it.

Cornell's season is over so he may join the Phantoms any day on an ATO for the rest of the year.

apparently battled back from a fractured vertebrae a couple years ago. C or A for a lot of his time at Cornell.

A little info on him:

Bardreau also has a reputation as one of the top defensive forwards in ECAC Hockey and was a key component of one of the top team defenses in the country. Cornell led the nation at the end of its regular season with a 91.1 percent success rate on the penalty kill, thanks in large part to Bardreau's ability to win faceoffs in the defensive zone and initiate a quick clear. He had 23 blocked shots on the season, which was tied for the most among the team's forwards, and he won 56 percent of his faceoffs in the 2015 portion of the season. Bardreau won his first All-Ivy League honor last week, when he was selected to the All-Ivy First Team.

Saw some tweets last night that Bardreau will be joining the Phantoms on an ATO for the rest of the season. I think I read he'll be joining up this weekend.

Nothing on Martel as of yet.

Sanheim is doing work. From Meltzer today:

With only two regular season games remaining, Sanheim leads all WHL defensemen in scoring with 64 points (14 goals, 50 assists) in 65 games played. He is third in scoring among defensemen in all three CHL leagues, trailing only Anthony DeAngelo (Sarnia, OHL) and Chris Bigras (Owen Sound, OHL). Perhaps most impressively, Sanheim has continued to perform at a high level defensively while growing his offensive game.

Sanheim finished the regular season last night with a GWG and the WHL scoring title for d-men. Very excited about him these days. (15G 50A 65 pts, 67 games)

According to philly.com Sanheim is now 6'5. Let your mouth water a bit over that
