Watching espn ex nfl player board discussing Peyton's legacy and how he played. Chris carter going off on it. Worth watching if you want player perspective of that first half performance.

Peyton choked. But not in the typical "he threw the game away" choke.

His team was favored, AS USUAL. And AS USUAL, he came up short, despite huge numbers. Tony Romo does this all the time and is CRUCIFIED by fans and media.

But, he was talked about leading up to this game as the GOAT.....and once again he failed. You can justly say his team didn't show up......but Seattle is NOT the 85 Bears.....they aren't even the 2000 Ravens. They're good......not stellar.

Excuses will be made forever for Peyton......but he's failed at EVERY level of competition he's ever played in. At some point, you HAVE to point the finger AT HIM.

Manning did not choke. The entire Bronco team was dominated on both sides of the ball. The speed of the Seahawk defense and their ability to get the ball is impressive. My wife thinks the Broncos were drugged, and they certainly looked like a team that was playing like deer in the headlights. The first play from scrimmage pretty much set the tone for the Broncos for the entire game.

to call this a Manning choke job is flat out stupid. The Seattle defense smothered them. Denver's O-line was getting dominated, even the best QB in history will struggle with protection like they were giving him.

Also calling it a choke really takes away from Seattle. They were the better team. Period. They dominated on offense, defense, and special teams.

People here would be gloating if it had been Brady that put up the performance that Peyton did. They'd be saying "that record does not mean anything when you only score 8 points"

Peyton choked and Denver followed.

i'm not sure manning choked as much as the seahawks defense just absolutely dominated the broncos offense.

i'm going to say something that will likely piss some of you off but I will go ahead and say it.....

the word 'choke' is over-used greatly in sports discussions by novice spectators who either didn't play the sport or haven't followed/studied the game very long.

when the novice spectator cannot comprehend/analyze what they just saw and break down the game, they use the term 'choke' to explain it away because they can at least understand that simplistic term.

Peyton never had a chance to choke since his O line was getting man handled from the get go and he never had time all game to get his rhythm going. This was all about a Seahawks beat down of the Bronco offense.

This is 100% dead on.

That's really amazing because you share the same, exact IP address with another Yankees fan who sounded just like you. His name was Dirt. Shall I post screenshots?
