Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain
The worst trade has to be the Hershel Walker trade, but this move comes close.
It's possible that STL would've released him outright and they could've pick him up for $4 mil per.
Neither of these 2 things was ever remotely plausible. Steelers fans have had Big Ben for so long so I don't think you know know much even mediocre QBs get paid these days (Brian Hoyer got $5 mil per), and Bradford is certainly not mediocre.
Bradford is gonna turn that into a frown.
I'll believe it when I see it. I am really surprised you had to give up the picks as well. It just seems a bad deal all around.
lol. I always find it amusing when people on message boards think they are smarter than the professionals who also have way more information than we do. Then they also rate a trade 3 minutes after it happens. A couple of years from now people will be able to accurate assess what happened here and there is a good chance it will go down as an all time bad trade. Its just not clear for which team.

The Herschel Walker trade to Minnesota is considered the worst trade ever by everyone but Cowboys fans.I wouldn't call it the worst trade ever. It's certainly somewhat lopsided, but worst trade ever it is not.
Last I checked, there were "professionals" on both sides of the Herschel Walker trade. One of those "professionals" proved to be wearing a clown suit.
There were "professionals" in the Philly front office who thought it would be a good idea to spend a first round pick on Jon Harris, a guy who had never produced in college, whose own coach laughed when he heard about the selection, who was asleep when the Eagles informed him he had been drafted in the first round.
"Professionals" are prone to making mistakes on draft day and free agency. Most people can see that.
But, I guess we should shut down message boards and just offer blind allegiance to whatever "professionals" do, right deerpathdave?
By the way, what are Chip's credentials as an NFL front office "professional"? What experience does he have doing this?
That's right--zero. As much as Wings or any of us.
Lol. I am all for the Message board give and take. My perspective is that these guys make these decisions for a reason and I generally assume that although they may not be smarter than us, they do KNOW a lot more, so I take the time when I see something that surprises me to try to read between the lines and figure out what they know that I don't.
So its a bit of detective game for me rather than a judgement game. Much more interesting to try to learn from what surprises than to assume the other guy is an idiot, because he rarely is.
enut don't patronize me, there is nothing to get here, it's a monster risk, and Chips got huge balls to try it.Read that second part over and over and you'll get it.
