Pens Sign Johnson To 1-year Deal

Pens resigned Nick Johnson to a 1-year deal today. The winger is rather important, considering that...well, he's a winger. I think this solidifies that Talbot/TK are done. Johnson is a younger cheaper option. That and Rossi's report says Shero's looking into trade options before signing begins. That makes me think TK all the way.

Uhhh...hmm. He's a RW, so I assume he is. He played very well before the injury, even in his 4 games up with the Pens he had 1 G 2 A.

Yeah, he's a right shot. Geno actually said that he liked him on his line, and that's big for Geno to say that.

I don't know if this necessarily spells the end for Kennedy, but since Johnson is essentially the same player for essentially 1/3 the money, TK's probably done in Pittsburgh.

He played way above his head last year. And even though he was a 20-goal scorer, I really don't think he played a whole lot better than an average #6. He'll get more money than he deserves, and with the Penguins' cap situation, they can't afford that.
