It was the correct call but unfortunate for ND because that ball was picked the second it left the QB's hand. Throwing into triple coverage, madness. Warren has caught over 100 balls with that kid throwing, if he had a real QB good Lord

That's not questionable at all -- the Irish defender initiated significant contact that completely prevented Warren from attempting the catch.

Even moreso because they just called a very questionable PI against Penn State at the other end, a few minutes earlier. In that case, the Irish receiver initiated the contact by trying to push off the defender. There's contact both ways afterwards, but after the receiver initiates the contact, it cannot be called on the defender -- it's either "play-on" or offensive PI.

It would have been a travesty to call PI against Penn State -- as they did -- and allow that interception to stand.
