Flat. Classic letdown game. Must step up 2nd half.

Didn't take long for PSU to leave Central Michigan in the dust. 33-14. Blocked a PAT and had a 2-point conversion fail or this score would have been bigger.

Central Michigan is probably a lot better of a team than their record shows. That said, we allowed too much through the air and for the love of God, can we finally get a decent field goal kicker!? Pinegar is a senior and he's already missed 2 of his 5 field goal attempts and I believe two extra points as well this season. Sorry, but that's just not good enough. We're going to end up losing a big time game simply because we can't kick a 40+ yard field goal.

It's a little hard to rag on Franklin right now but I still don't have any faith in him. Agree about the kicking. At best Penn State is still the 4th best team in the B1G. I feared worse though. One thing Franklin can do is recruit.

Penn State at Michigan. Lions 14-13, 2 minutes left in 1st half. PSU played a lame offensive half but was saved by a 62 yard TD run from scrimmage by Clifford, and a 42 yard TD interception return by Jacobs.

Clifford drives us fans absolutely insane. Why? He's 2 for 5 with only 17 yards at the half and yet his 62 yard run that led to a TD has us trailing by only 2 points, which I think we would happily take at Michigan.

Good on the defense for only allowing one TD and getting the INT when they've pretty much taken the ball all the way down the field on us every single drive.

Obviously we're giving up too many yards on the ground. Gotta stop Corum and make McCarthy beat us.

Idk if I've ever seen so much of a lopsided half with the score still this close. I would almost consider putting Allar in there. Our offense is truly embarrassing right now.

For God's sake, the 1st downs are in favor of Michigan 18-1, and yet they are only ahead 16-14...Lol

I'm sorry, but why did we go for it on 4th and 6 from their 40 yard line while down by only one TD with 8 minutes left in the THIRD quarter!? That one play may have lost us the game, quite frankly.

We knew coming into the game that Michigan was going to try to run the ball down our throats and we've just stepped aside and let them do it. Truly disappointing. I'm done with Sean Clifford too. I hope he doesn't start another game. Let's see what Allar can do and let the kid learn.

Love him or hate him (and we do both), Sean Clifford delivers a pretty efficient performance in the Rose Bowl yesterday and rides off into the sunset via a 35-21 win over Utah. Idk why Clifford can't seem to run the ball anymore, but we won this game without him accomplishing that. That said, Cam Rising was frustrating the hell out of me with his own runs. He bit off more than he could chew though and got injured doing it. That was pretty much the end of the game right there.

Hard to believe that this was only the 2nd Rose Bowl win in the entire history of Penn State football, but I guess we just haven't been in this game as often as I would have figured.

That said, Penn State is 31-19-2 in bowl games, but there's been too much hit or miss in the last dozen or so years for me. It's time to string some wins together and get into the playoff. Next season we have the beginning of a new era with Drew Allar at qb. I'm pretty sure every fan welcomes that change, with all due respect.

Props to Clifford. You're a hell of a competitor and won a lot of games at times, but you never really did win the big game for us until now. It was always a massive tease and then you'd get injured or choke it away. Glad you have your moment at the very end.

We should expect more than 4-4 in bowl games and more against Michigan and OHS

The Lions have started the season with some big wins over some weak competition. Laid a 63 to 7 ass-whippin on Delaware. Now we shall see how they fare as they start to their Big 10 schedule in earnest!! Next up, Illinois!!

Took care of ILL 30-13 but Allar did not look good. 16/33, had a few drops, and ILL batted down several of his passes, but his accuracy was off.

Don't think you can blame Allar, the offense sucked (sort of in) in the win.

The offense was out of sync most of the day. The Lions managed to get the job done but their were lots of mistakes that can be remedied fir next week.
