Well, that's embarrassing.

Penn State just needs a wide receiver (or two) that can get separation.

To a much lesser extent, the offensive line needs to be better.

Allar has the arm strength and talent to get the ball deep, but nobody was getting open in time and the defense was constantly right in his kitchen, therefore he was rushing every throw, having to throw it away or tucking and running for minimal yards.

The defense is still great, but losing Chop Robinson and taking a penalty on the fumble scoop and score were crushing blows to our chances.

Not to mention the play calling was horrendous…..

Well, there's the end of the season. We won't start winning these big games against the best of the best until we can actually pass the ball down the field effectively. Guys aren't getting open and if they are, Allar can't avoid the rush and put the ball in that window accurately while scrambling.

Basically, we need a top WR and maybe some improvement with the offensive line against the pass rush.

Pretty disappointing to give up 227 yards on the ground today too. The fumble by Allar was crushing as well.

Also, this is a bit irrelevant, but I don't like going for two in the 1ST HALF. If you miss it, you end up chasing that point for the rest of the fucking game. It's too early in the game to make that call. Just take the extra point and move on.

Furthermore, I think James Franklin will take some heat here for some of the decision making in this game and rightfully so.

Yep, alot of shit-show stuff going on for Penn State. They just did not take care of business on both sides of the ball.

Going for it on 4th n 6 was idiotic and going for two and being down 9 was ridiculous as well…..play calling is pathetic

Penn State just played like shit for better part of the game but doing that dog and pony show shit just killed them along with a weak offense and a sieve defense!

PSU played like crap as mentioned in this thread
But that seems to be the norm when it comes to Penn State and James Franklin
They can beat up the lower and middle tier schools but when it comes to the elites they shrivel up

Just putting this here…
James Franklin and PSU won/loss

3-7 vs Michigan
1-9 vs Ohio State
3-17 vs Top 10 teams

Penn State - big fish in a small pond
Once they venture into the bigger lake they become a small fish gobbled up by the elites
