If Crosby had any say, he'd be playing tonight. But he doesn't. What's apparent is that this wasn't your typical broken jaw. It sounds like it was pretty shattered.

Jokinen has done an excellent job filling in, so hopefully that continues tonight. Pens can manage without Orpik too, now that Martin is back. Kennedy and Vitale are scratches as far as I'm concerned, glad to see Bennett get a shot.

It's funny how the timing of Sid's injury lined up with the acquisitions of Iggy, Morrow, Murray and Jokinen. Almost as if he were traded away for those four in return.

In any case, I think Pitt can manage to go without him for another game or two. I just hope he makes it back soon.
