You see, I could see him being okay if they fell short...but it can't be horribly. First/Second round loss? Fired. ECF loss in 6+ or beyond? Fine.

True but I was thinking this has compounded over a few years of playoff failures. Then with the all-in deals he really has no excuse except his goalie can't stop a beach ball.

He's got great reflexes, solid positioning and a terrible attitude. But he makes up for all of that by being emotionally fragile.

I don't care how good Bylsma is or isn't. If your goalie is playing like that, you aren't going deep in the playoffs.

The Isles will either rally behind the loss of MacDonald or they will fall apart the next two games. I think this series has 7 games written all over it w the Pens winning.

I was hoping. I still think the Pens win this series though. They still have 2 of the 3 at home. The series is only tied. They still take this.

I already used the "It's Over" earlier in the thread for the Pens... though while it has been nearly flawless with DC sports teams, its record outside that is bad.

There's the rub. Even I in this thread, after MAF let in the 3rd goal, said that it's time to put Vokoun in. That is on the coach.

Even the cup run he was .908. In the playoffs that is not stellar.

The last time MAF has played every minute of every playoff game was in '08. Hard to rally behind a goalie that is inconsistent come playoff time.
