Well, the Pens are playing better, especially Fleury, but letting up a game-tying shorthanded goal with under two to play just doesn't cut it.

Fleury wasn't to blame for any of those goals. He was solid all night.

A point is a point, though.

It's only inevitable for Gaborik to be on the IR soon and Torts to lose his shit on some random fan. Keep our rung on the ladder warm, Rags.

However, one bone head play by Malkin cost the Pens the 'W' in regulation. He played like a beast again, but up 2-1, on a PP with about one minute to go, and he passes the puck backwards through the slot, creating the outlet pass in which the Rangers scored on. Geno takes that puck to the corner and the game is over. Oh well. Lucky we got one point.

Even putting it on net would have been a good move. The camera was right over his shoulder, and it looked like he definitely had a shooting lane and some room high on the short side. If Michalek hadn't caught an edge at the worst possible moment, the Rangers would have had a much harder time scoring as well, and I thought Crosby was a little lazy on the backcheck as well. A lot of mistakes contributed to that goal.

Give a ton of credit to the Rangers. They capalized on mistakes at the right time after being outplayed. Then Lundqvist was great all game.
