Usually a fine or 1-game suspension.

And any hit which is deemed to target the head can be suspendable, especially if it's illegal (in this case interference) independent of point of contact/viciousness/dangerousness.

But I also don't think who he hit should matter one bit. It will, but it shouldn't.

I'm still not convinced that it was that bad a shot. I guess two games isn't all that bad considering how late the hit was. As far as the elbow goes, I don't think its possible to deliver a hard check without having your elbow come up. I've seen it all the time, I did it when I played and it was not intentional. I'm not excusing it, I'm just saying it happens a lot and it seems almost to be a reflex.

I see they brought up Dumoulin to fill in. I don't like him that much, he tends to cough up the puck in his own zone and makes bad decisions at the blue line. I'd rather have Ulfie's little boy up here, but Mario doesn't listen to me like he used to.

Doob's take: Pens are coming off a 1-0 win against the Devils but they'll need to play better to beat the Canucks who have been pretty good this season. Ryan Miller has been key to their success, but the Pens have had good luck against him, especially Sid, so hopefully we could score some goals on these guys. Still tho, not a fan of the way the Pens have played as of late so Doob picks the Canucks to win 3-2, hopefully the Pens prove me wrong.

I dunno, sometimes adversity brings out the best in the Pens. They could steal a win here, if MAF is on his game. We'll see what kind of coach Johnston really is.

This game could go either way. Still not convinced on Van, and the black and white have owned the Canucks. But with the way Van has been playing and the fact that they know damn well they have been kinda beat up from the Penguins, that may inspire them. I also may not. We'll see.
