Pete Carroll said that he's healthy and he should be ready to go next week (Week 8)... They didn't activate him this week due to the shortened week... Exciting to hear... Anytime you can improve our WR situation is a good thing... So, who is the odd man out?

BJ Daniels is toggling between being on and off the roster, but I would bet he's the guy who'll be bumped if he's on it right now. I'm guessing Richardson won't be active for at least a little while though. Hard to see him returning to practice and right away playing in a game.

If you're thinking WR for WR, it's gotta be BJ. Daniels, but if they carry 6 - which is possible - then maybe Nick Moody?

It's funny. I was thinking why we have not heard much about him the other day

For some reason I thought Daniels was already cut but yeah, he definitely would be the odd man out if that's not the case...

Man, I hope this kid can regain some of positives we were seeing last year.

This year I doubt Richardson gets a lot of chances, barring injuries.

I'm far more looking forward to a healthy Lane coming back, if he does come back.

Not that Richardson might not add another weapon, but this is a run team with limited chances for any WR and we have such a glaring need at CB. Lane returning really could be the difference between making the playoffs and watching it at home.

That is a great point. Lane is still a ways away from recovery though.

Really? I thought Land and Richardson were in the same boat with recovery timeline.

They were both placed on PUP, but all along I had heard little tidbits saying Lane would take longer to heal. Then about 4 or 5 days ago, I thought I read something (Condotta?) about a Richardson update (might come off PUP this week) while Lane will still take a little more time. I tried to find the article but came up short.
Might be a slight mental lapse which happens more often the older we get.

Well he doesn't have that much more time. Don't they have only 21 days to get him back or he has to sit out the rest of the year? :noidea:

Not exactly, they have to either take him off the PUP and have him start practicing by Week 11, or he's stuck on PUP and done for the rest of the season.

Once they take him off PUP, they have a roster exemption where he can practice but not play for up to 3 weeks before they either activate him or put him on PUP/IR.

3 weeks is 21 days isn't it?

Just going by what condotta said in the times. Thought if he isn't taken off pup within 21 days after week 11 he's stuck back on it through end of the year. Maybe I read that wrong. :noidea:

Richardson cleared today. I do not have a link. He can now practice with the team and the Hawks have 21 days to activate him to the final 53.

Right, but they still have a few weeks before they have to make a decision about taking him off PUP. So they have until week 14 (unless they choose to start the clock earlier) to activate Lane.
With Richardson, they now have 3 weeks to activate him or lose him for the season.

I think he tweeted that his injury didn't hinder his speed.

I know Baldwin and Kearse are technically our 1/2 WRs (though IMO they're kind of the same type of WR) but god I really want to see a formation with Lockett, Richardson, and Graham spread out with Lynch in the backfield. With minimal pass protection (which has actually been better lately) how do you defend 2 burners deep, an All Pro in the flat, a Beast in the backfield, and a QB who can hit them all or tuck it for 20+ yards?

Lane being our #2 would be a huge boost as he is light years ahead of anyone else we have playing as the #2 CB. I hear he is still like 3 weeks away and with the bye coming up i would not expect him to be activated till the very last minute or placed on IR for the rest of the season.

I hope to god Lane uses this time to try and bulk up, his twig frame will continue to get twisted and broken unless he does. This holds true for Richardson and Lockett also although Lockett seems to have that knack of getting down right before he gets blown up.

The Hawks seem to like those 6 foot plus CB but why can we not get some 6 foot plus WR with speed that weigh more than 190 pounds lol. I would love to see some WR around 6-2 to 6-3 and 215+ on this team with 4.4 speed
