This is actually a part of the original deal.

Nothing new here. The county is on the hook for repairs/upgrades. If people don't like that, then they should have read more about what they were actually on the hook for before approving the vote.

I think it's hilarious when Cincinnati folks get bent about this thing...... YOU MADE A DEAL.... It's really not the Bengals fault that Hamilton County is mismanaged. And it's certainly not their fault that the county bought all kinds of other shit with money that was earmarked for the stadium upkeep.

Do folks really expect that stadiums only cost money when they're built? Think about the minimum amount of money it takes to keep up with repairs on your home. Now imagine what it would take to care for a stadium.

Oh, and for the record, PBS is starting to look terrible. It's a pretty stadium and I always thought it was a nice place to watch a game (you know, if you ignore the product and the 50K other fans that are drunk and throwing up on each other).... But last time I was there I was noticing how the place is really becoming a dump. They have 1980s televisions in the concourse, they haven't done a thing to jazz up the place and it's starting to look dirty.

By comparison, GABP seems to be holding up quite nicely.

It's been years since I've been to PBS but those TV's are really pathetic. You can't tell me that they can't swing a deal with some corporate entity (Best Buy, HH Gregg, etc.) and trade out new TV's for sponsorship.

It wouldn't be that hard.

Bengals have a provision in the contract...basically, anything that gets upgraded in over 50% of other NFL stadiums triggers an immediate upgrade (paid for by HC) at PBS.

I think this happened a few years ago when PBS finally got field turf. I'm not sure of the exact numbers, but I remember reading this somewhere. So, if 50% of stadiums moved to LED score-boards, then PBS automatically is eligible for that upgrade at no cost to the Bengals.

Agreed with above. Those who voted for it had no clue. They didn't do any research, and now they are the ones complaining.
