Exactly. That is why this looks ridiculously horrible. gotta be more to it. Maybe he was tapping Bill's daughter???

Everyone calls Gisselle ugly.

This is a puzzler

It's just people exaggerating to make the point that she's overrated. She's clearly not ugly.

I don't.

Hightower is playing like a beast. He will get the $$. And Butler will be after more coin too.

Plus they have Sheard, Mingo (both from the Browns??), rookie Roberts, picked up that Van Noy guy the other day.

Life in BB land is like this. You get greedy, you gone...... Nothing surprises me anymore.

None of this addresses why it makes no sense for them to trade him now for a 3rd rounder.

There's another thought. Yes, they get the 3rd round pick in 2017 instead of 2018. But also, it's guaranteed because of Cleveland is not granted a compensatory pick, they get the Browns 4th.

Also, if they kept him, they aren't guaranteed a compensatory pick. It would depend on their activity in the FA market. They could get nothing.

Hell yes, Browns. If they can get him under contract this could be a huge acquisition for us.

I'm a Jets fan...we played you guys yesterday, that team made ZERO for halftime adjustments, and looked totally lost in the second half against the leagues worst QB...

Jamie Collins isn't going to do much for that franchise. They need Vince Lombardi's corpse to rise up and come coach along with the 80's version of Joe Montana to show up to training camp next season...

then they might win 8 games

maybe he pulled a Chandler Jones...partied with weird drugs, showed up naked at a police station, and then got traded?

Yes it does, he's had an off again on again season, they have a lot of guys who can play that spot, and he wanted too much money to let them keep the other guys.

Just like when they let Jones go..

No worse punishment than sending a guy to the Browns. Wonder what he did to Belichick to deserve this.

So true.

I know BB has a relationship with the personnel people in CLE, but on the surface, this makes zero sense for either party.

I'm starting the think NE felt the number just wasn't going to work out for them and decided getting a 3rd rounder from the lowly Browns would be better than a compensation pick.

I'm pretty sure they traded Jones in the offseason and I'm also pretty sure they would get a 3rd round comp pick if they let Collins walk as an UFA.

The only part that makes sense...they money was too high, and they felt a Browns 3rd rounder would be a lot better than a compensation pick.

The Browns pick may be about 30 spots higher.

Right. Not having Collins for the rest of the season seems to be a pretty high price to pay for that.

The Browns traded their comp pick, not their 3rd round pick. I assumed so myself but it's apparently not the case. We officially have our first comp pick trade it appears.

Really? Wow...

They would only get that comp pick if they didn't sign an equivalent free agent(s) this winter.
