The Patriots needed a WR to step up with Chris Hogan out with a back injury and rookie WR Malcolm Mitchell delivered. His catch on third-and-9 was critical on a TD drive to go up 20-10, and then his 56-yard catch-and-run TD in the fourth quarter put the Patriots up 27-10. The fourth-round pick from Georgia has delivered in a big way.
I should mention I watched this at a bar with no sound. I haven't even checked the stats. So everything was from tge naked eye perspective. Van Noy looked like he fit in well?
He had a few bright moments... Elandon Roberts looked like dung in coverage though, as did Hightower. Both those guys gave up big pass plays. Needless to say, taking this defense into post-season is a scary proposition.
