That's as animated as I've seen Patricia - good to see it. Someone has to light a fire under these guys.

The Patriots needed a WR to step up with Chris Hogan out with a back injury and rookie WR Malcolm Mitchell delivered. His catch on third-and-9 was critical on a TD drive to go up 20-10, and then his 56-yard catch-and-run TD in the fourth quarter put the Patriots up 27-10. The fourth-round pick from Georgia has delivered in a big way.

Once again the Offense gets out to a hot hot start (first drive and a TD) and then fall flat on their faces! Yes they finally came through but still.

Also Nate Solder... WTF? Gostowski was shaky at best as well

Overall today I give them a C + Brady's long ball looked terrible today. Maybe that was due to wind? Kap made a few:noidea:
Running game gets a B +. Good to see Lewis back.
Passing game C granted Brady had 4 and 0. But Josh got away from the slants and the bubbles middle of the game and that caused them to go flat.
Run D gets a B they seemed to hold their own
Passing D still struggling but I did see some improvement with DBs in good position. I even saw Rowe turn his head and make a play.
Pass rush C, they gor 3 or 4 sacks
STs (-) Amendola is a C nothing great.
Coaching C still too vanilla and predictable at times. Josh change it up every once in a while.
If SF was a decent team this game may have turned out a lot differently.

I'm sure the weather played a factor in the Offense looking shaky at times.

As I predicted, Mitchell did shine today. Tom has to get a better working relationship with him. Speed, Height and Hands....a very dangerous weapon. How about Mitchell and Hogan outside with Edelman in the slot. Amendola up and off the TE. That's a nightmare for any DC.

Lewis looked very good both running and catching passes. A little more time and I think his wheel will turn full speed. Blount really wanted that 12th TD, Niners just weren't going to let him get it.

I should mention I watched this at a bar with no sound. I haven't even checked the stats. So everything was from tge naked eye perspective. Van Noy looked like he fit in well?

Skippy never gets the TEs involved early for some inexplicable reason.

He had a few bright moments... Elandon Roberts looked like dung in coverage though, as did Hightower. Both those guys gave up big pass plays. Needless to say, taking this defense into post-season is a scary proposition.

Come on, relax fellas. The first 3/4+- of the game was played in a damn monsoon and the game plan was pretty obvious. Run the ball and then run it again. We were laughing at how conservative the play calling was on "O" when it 10-3. I told my drinking buddies that BB wouldn't step away from that ultra conservative plan until SF took the lead and forced him to or it stop raining so hard.

Lo and behold the rain let up some and Brady started making some plays downfield. I'll take the win and no sign of any significant injuries and gladly move on.

Brady had a great game in the 2nd. He must have been as disgusted as we were about the offense..

His movement around the pocket saved the offense until they just wore down the 49'ers

Elandon got caught out of position for a few plays. Not pretty but he is a rookie.
Brady was throwing to a 6'9" Edelman most of the game,
Lewis looked good sparingly,
Mitchell looked great!
Defense looked "better"
Secondary was looking back at QB,
McCourty playing "over the top" standing in the endzone when the play was at the 5 was worrisome....
