Patriots vs 49ers in Wine Country

Pats are flying out to the Bay area this afternoon. They'll take on the once prominent San Francisco 49ers.

The word is that Gronk will not play and give his chest a chance to heal. The big question is....Will Dion Lewis play? This shouldn't be a big problem for the Patriots, but with that questionable secondary, it could be closer than I like.

So, instead of a win by 30...it will be 24.

I have a bad feeling about this one. If the offense comes out anything like last game it could be a long day. Granted SF sucks but Kap did look better early on last week. This NE will have their hands full. He's quicker and more apt to run than Wilson was last week. I'm hoping NE is pissed off to the umteenth degree on how bad they looked and played last week.

The Patriots have ruled out TE Rob Gronkowski (chest) and WR Chris Hogan (back) for Sunday's road game against the 49ers. Gronkowski's downgrade was expected, while Hogan's comes as a mild surprise, even though it was clear he was ailing in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks when he was a game-time decision. Hogan is a starter opposite Julian Edelman, and that means Danny Amendola and rookie Malcolm Mitchell project to receive more playing time alongside Edelman.

Hogan didn't look at all like himself. He looked unhealthy and lost. Gronk and Hogan...enjoy the Sunday off and heal up.

Here it is November and they're playing like crap... all three phases.

Offense is playing pretty well. With the rain and wind, I'm not expecting the passing game to be good at all down field. Brady has made a couple of bonehead plays. Solder is having a horrible game, two penalties and tripping Brady for that sack is unforgiveable.

Defense is playing hot and cold. three sacks is great, horrible tackling again and safety help in coverage is non-existent.

Special Teams hasn't been bad. Gostkowski missing another extra point is baffling.

I hope Bill can light a fire under their asses at the half. Hope Brady starts looking for Mitchell a bit more.

I gotta go pee, second half is starting
