Interesting quick read. It’s nice to know that we had an impact that significant. I’m guessing the rams offense takes a step back next season now that the blue print to stop them is out. If we can keep improving on offense, I think we got a very good shot at a super bowl appearance next year.
No way they are better with that dipshit Pagano running things. I dont like that hire.

He only had 1 year as a DC. He was pretty good with that defense. Then he got over promoted to HC. I think he will look good as our DC. Why don’t you like him?

Have you ever seen him do pressers after games? He's like a scatter brain moron. Doesnt seem to be able to formulate coherent thoughts some times. I dont know that he has ever had conversation that wasnt just cliche's strung together, whether relevant or not. I dont usually have strong negative opinions on things like this. I just have always thought he sounds mildly tarded.

Fair enough. I still think he will have this defense dominating next year. He should be better than Mel Tucker.

He's one of the most highly respected defensive coaches in the game. Who gives a shit about his pressers? lol. All kinds of coaches who are bores or bad at pressers.

I can't even think of what a better hire could have been.

Yeah its interesting...……….I also thought the very same thing and wondered why other teams didn't mimic our def,but to tell you the truth, was it really the Bears/Pats def...…..?

I mean,Id give more credit to McVays failure to use him more...…….

He ran the ball a total of 10xs in 4 qtrs...……?...……….had 2 trgts in 4 qtrs...……..?

Jeez, hes the top rb in the NFL or atleast the 2nd,and you can only get him in there for 12 plays in the biggest game of the year...……….?

Its not like the Pats were a top 10 in rushing def, they were actually 22nd and gave up 4.9 yds per carry...…..Nothing to write home about.
And the best weapon the rams could've used was gurley running the ball to keep brady off the field...…...and its not like the Pats were blowing them away to keep throwing...…..

Id give most the credit to Mcvays failure to run/throw to him more...…..

But hey, glad to see we may have paved the way to the rams loss...….:thumb:

I think just about every Bears fan on the planet would have preferred that Fangio stick around. But I do like that Pagano has a reputation for being a bit more aggressive (read: more blitzing). Since we couldn't get Fangio cloned, I'm glad we're erring on the side of aggression. I think we have the speed and talent to take more chances.

If McVay reciognizedsomething that the Bears had used to beat him, why didn't he do something to counter act it? That doesn't say a hell of a lot about McVay. If he recognized a defense that beat him once, he should have ahd an answer, if it was the first play, he should have gone immediately to his OC and told him to change things up. Doesn't make McVay look like tye brilliant coach everyone put him up to be.

Beat me once, shame on you. Beat me twice, shame on me........

It had nothing to do with how the Bears defended Gurley......I believe it was McVays failure to give Gurley the ball more......Since when do you have the rb back in football and not want to use him.....2.5 runs per qtr.....?.....That was all on McVay in both games.

I have always thought McVay was way overrated. We will see next year if he makes any adjustments. I think the issues they had with the bears and New England may have been due to the system, but he may make adjustments. Good coaches learn. Shitty coaches don’t.

Exactly what I said.....failure to recognize and adjust. I can't disagree with you. You see it as the same thing as I do. The correct adjustment would have been to use Gurley and Anderson more and wear down the defense like the Patriots did.

When you use your best weapon,a top 2 rb in the NFL a total of 10xs rushing the ball and threw to him twice for 1 rec for -1 yd whose actually an excellent rec coming out of the backfield, you fucked up...………….Even vs the Bears, they handed the ball off a total of 11 times...……..That's unacceptable for a player of his caliber...….

so yes, agree totally on both of our assessments...……..
