I had mentioned this the other day not in so many words, the experts are all over the place on the evaluations of these potential LTs. I'm certainly no expert on evaluating linemen. But I wonder how much of a difference is there between the top Ts? Does it equate to say Trapilo giving up a couple more pressures and one sack a game over say Campbell. If that's the difference would it be worth possibly getting the next great DE on a rookie contract?
You are correct about the experts eval's of OT's in this draft.
The proof is in the reading. I have never seen this much disgreement on the OL.
I use this site as well especially to see where players are projected to go.

But, to me it's not hard #s. Without being smart and saying 1%, what's the difference between a 98 and a 97 grade? Sure you can look at the pros and cons. Look at college film. But without everything being equal is that really the best method? I don't expect an answer because there probably isn't one. Does that equate to giving up a couple more pressures and one sack per game?

If so, I think I'd be willing to roll the dice and sign a potential franchise DE. The NE would be scary good.
I use Draftbuzz for general info. They are very optimistic about tackles this year.
I use Walter football for opinions but not pick placement. They are overly pessimistic this year.
Somebody will get some players right this year but not all of them and not right away!

Considering what's available in the draft, I think they should trade out of #4 and pick up one or two extra picks.

Rather than settling for Campbell, take Cornely or Ersery because both are LTs a point or so beneath the Campbell so called score. Grab Banks if he's there. Hopefully, they'll spend year one learning the NFL trade from someone Like Tyron Smith.
Not Opposed to extra draft capital. I prefer Campbell but as long as we get a quality high ceiling LT I am good. I just feel that has to be the first position we draft

I would be okay with this. Adding Booker and Taylor after Banks should shore up the line, I'm torn on Egbuka might want a RB there if we could still land a guy like Higgins

According to the Kansas City Star the Patriots will trade the #4 to the LV Raiders and then pick WR McMillan with the #6. This will start a domino effect and start a purge on the WRs available.

The Baton Rouge Advocate thinks that the Saints will get the #4 from the Patriots for #9, #65 and #219.

Chicago Sun times thinks that the Bears will get the #4 for #10, #76 and 2026 2nd round pick.

Interesting how all of the hometown Newspapers are trying to figure out some way that their team will do a trade that benefits them for what they think is close to the draft value of #4. Why would the Patriots be willing to swap without getting a couple of hundred points higher via more picks like Round 1 and Round 2 and maybe a 6?

Not interested in the LVR deal. But I would take the other two if offered.

What!?! You don’t want to trade our 4 for the Raiders 6?? That’s a great deal! We don’t need anything else thrown in.
I wound not grab a WR there, and I have seen mocks where Campbell is there at 6. Question becomes if we do this who do we take at 6 if Campbell is not there? If we take a LT would that be a reach for the second T off the board. Don't want a RB here, defense seems in place.

From all of the gradings and expert synopsis, there doesn't seem to be a whole hell of a lot difference from #1 through #7 of the available LTs. It's almost a 50/50 split on Campbell or Banks as the best LT available and about half of the Campbell backers agree that he would be a dominant OG.

If Campbell isn't there, Banks or Conerly could step in.

But I'd much rather have an experienced NFL LT for them to learn from. Both good and bad.

Robinson or Smith. Both have good and bad characteristics and flaws.

1 through 7 seems a hell of a stretch there is no way I am buying the 7th ranked LT is only a smidge worse than the #1 LT. I would be okay with Banks as well, but I feel for LT after Banks the drop off happens. Is what you are reading specific to LT or just T across the board.

The advantage of drafting a LT is 1. Will cost you less than a Vet. 2. You get that fifth year option.
