Up next: JJ Watt. That one'll be a dump truck full of gold bars.

I thought watt's transition to DE at u.w. was solid but did anyone see this beast coming? Maybe a decent 4-3 but to be able to play the 3-4 5 tech as well as he does, is outrageously impressive.

Watt was a surprise for me, for sure.

Paying elite Cornerbacks big money is totally worth it. Paying 2nd tier guys like Joe Haden is a way to totally ruin your team

What's a Doucheback?

:noidea:

If you can't figure it out with some screen name sense, then you'll have to be tossed in the cranium lacking group with davis, Scooby dumb and doucheback.

I'll let you know when you can exit. Show some football intelligence and you'll receive a get out of the asylum for free card. :yahoo:

what do you call 1999-2001 ? a top 3 team in the NFL. Between you and Scooby dumb, the cardinals aren't well represented with any intelligence on here. :yahoo:

I'm not going to the 3 rings because it's annoying because they're in the 70s and 80's but we still have been to a SB and a couple of AFCCG's since we won our last SB.

Cardinals had 1 lucky SB appearance with a HOF QB brought in to backup Matt Leinart. Otherwise, go back to the 1930's = deplorable. The truth shall set you free.

Lol @ a Raiders fan thinking they have done anything more that the Cardinals since 1988.

Delusional.

There's always a risk taking the franchise tag and playing for 1 season at a time. Max 2 I believe. At the end of those 2 years, you'll still get a monster deal with a bigger signing bonus than you'd have gotten 2 years prior.

It all started with Walter Jones of the Seahawks, who took the franchise tag like 3 years in a row and pocketed around 8 mm each season for a total of $24mm. Then he didn't get the franchise in the 4th year and the Seahawks paid him around $15 signing bonus and a $50mm deal. He'd have taken that deal 3 years earlier and ended up making an extra $24mm by franchising each season.

If I was a CB, I'd go franchise, franchise and then the lucrative long-term deal with the way the franchise tag will be for CB's. A risk but a huge reward, too.

I'll be back to educate you on varying facets of the NFL on Saturday morning. Tune in around 8 am pst for a lesson.

If you want to talk Cardinals since this is a Patrick Peterson thread, I will do that. I don't want to hijack every thread with Raider conversation. It will get stale and is inappropriate to other readers.

That's what I thought. While your at it, line up those SB trophies since 88 too, you can set right next to ours. And give us a tour of the new stadium you are playing in as well.:pound:

I'm dealing with Scooby Dumb and Davis Dumber on here. :omg:

Since 1988, we've had as many playoff seasons, 6, as you've had since 1950 or 64 years!

The Cardinals have won 5 playoff games in 64 years.

The Cardinals have been in 1 SB and that 1 NFCCG in 64 years.

In this cherry picking 1988 that you grabbed at, we've been to a SB and 3 AFCCG's. Stop DD.

If you want to talk Raiders, you can post in the San Antonio Raiders thread. If you want to talk Cardinals we can do it here.

As I said, I'm not going to hijack threads intentionally, though, you seem to have an appetite for it.

Like I've said for the 6th time, the Cardinals have one of the Worst franchises in all of Sports. They've been pathetic and the numbers don't lie. You and Scooby dumb should do standup...

You are such an idiot. The raiders are a regular top 5 picking team. This year maybe you will get in the 6-10 range for a change.

Harbaugh probably knew he was a juice junkie & didn't want to risk it; but yes he slipped through unnoticed. But if the Niners' GM should be fired for that, then 30 other GMs should be fired for passing on him 4 times.

Juice junkie? Bad call sick.
Compared to Aldon, Sherm is a choir boy. How did Alson slip through?
Rhetorical Q, btw.

Why are we letting a Raider fan hijack/troll every NFCW related thread?

Nick, try bringing something to the discussion besides your insults. This isn't ESPN.

Didn't Harbaugh coach him in college, though? That is the crux of the issue. He didn't see his potential and passed on him.

I was kidding (except about Sherman juicing; that part is true). Harbaugh isn't the GM. That's Trent Baalke.

I will grant you that Sherman is not the menace to society Aldon is (or Chris Culliver), but he did test positive for a banned substance & got off on a technicality. Nobody gets a pass.

I thought watt's transition to DE at u.w. was solid but did anyone see this beast coming?

Clyde on the 49ers' board did (man it hurts to give him credit:gaah:). He wouldn't shut up about the guy. And that was before the combine. And he ended up convincing me too after his legendary combine performance that rivaled the likes of Mario Williams. The dude's a monster. I'm pretty sure he has lion DNA.

On a side note, the Texans' GM actually wanted Aldon Smith and Watt was his 2nd choice. Lucky him (although Aldon is amazing, but his off-field stuff is a huge concern).

Personal insults? Thought you were for intelligent discussion? As for history...well that's history and what matters is what happening right now. Right now the Cards look like they have a good front office/coaching staff and are one of the better teams in the NFL. To bad for them that everyone else in the division is top notch, but it makes for an interesting up coming season.
You want some Raider talk? Start a thread.
