I agree dash. Sad to see all this talent, pardon the expression, wasted. Wonder if it's why he seems to be such a jerk to people too?

It is really sad to see, it's another example of a young kid getting millions of dollars and the fame that goes with it but is just too immature to handle it. Not the first time we've seen it and it won't be the last.

Must be embarrassing to the family as well at first you're so happy and proud that he made it big then before you know it he's getting a lot of attention for all the wrong reasons.

Different scenarios, I know, but I had NO money or fame when I was his age and I still partied and acted like a dipshit. I will make fun of Kane, but I don't really know that I can pass any real judgement.

Wait, wait, I just checked my Red Wings handbook, according to Article IV Section 5.3 sub-rule B, because Kane is a Blackhawk he is automatically a scumbag biatch and I can say what I want about him.

I'm guessing that you weren't being paid $31.5 million to be a top-level athlete,
or to be the face of a $300 million organization,
or have had a disappointing season and playoffs, and were currently supposed to be dedicating yourself to be better next year,
or (being a public figure) didn't already have a history of being a drunken asshole,
or work in an industry where you have a code of conduct involving alcohol abuse.

but yeah - he's pretty much just a scumbag bitch (Canuck handbook borrowed that clause from y'all about three years back)

That's all true, I'm just saying I couldn't handle my meager existence at his age, I probably wouldn't have been able to handle a couple million and the spotlight.

As for the book, feel free to make any additions. It's mostly just "fuck the Hawks".

I don't care what anybody says about Kane. If the Hawks want to trade him this offseason I'd gladly give up the 4th pick overall for him.:D: JT & Kane would be sweet.

I don't think anyone is questioning his talent just the direction he is headed with his personal life that will eventually have an negative effect on his ability to play hockey. This looks like Theo all over again and it's sad.

Let's hope the kid gets his head screwed on straight maybe even a teammate like Toews can help straighten him out. It just seems like he is hanging out with enablers and not people that will be strong and supportive and tell him he's headed down the wrong path.

It makes sense. The problem is who can sit Kane down & tell him what he's doing is wrong & that he needs to change the way he's living his life? He makes millions of dollars & obviously by his actions feels the world is his oyster. Families do interventions, but I'm not sure it would work with Kane. He's likely to tell the shrink to go to hell.

That is very possible my friend lets hope someone can get him straightened out before he crosses the point of no return. He comes from a decent family from what I know, his dad was half owner of a car dealership here so they seem like a hard working family and his sisters seem "normal". Oh well, I just wish him the best.

Kane obviously needs some direction. Hopefully somebody will be able to get through to him. The sooner the better.

Kane is young, rich, athletic, has already scored the GW goal to win the Cup, and is having the time of his life.

Man, I wish I could have his problems.

I agree it would be great. However, it seems like he's partying to much. It's very easy to throw it all away. I hope it doesn't happen for his sake, but it's his life & he has the right to do what he wants with it.

He is a amazing talent possibly 1 of the best 5 in the league. I can understand letting loose and getting all drunk and crazy..We all have done it in the past. If it is more often then not than he is going down the wrong road.

I can also understand the conversation that at age 23 he has millions of dollers and who gives a hoot. The bad side is he will piss through that money in no time if he is a drunk. I am not convinced by anything in this thread that he is in fact a drunk.

Most of it speculation but most signs point to a problem if he doesn't change his way's. Anyway, I was reading an article on Terrel Owens today and how he is broke! He made between 80 and 100 mill in the NFL and playing in some bottom feeding indoor league to make money. The problems he has is his lifestyle because he spent money like a drunken sailor and the fact that he is paying support for four kids born to four different women. he broke down on Dr Phil's show talking about it.

I disagree with IPW because you can have problems even if you're making a ton of money and do not manage it properly.

I agree Boss. Most of these pics are from one day. Yup I get it he was hammered. He is 23 yrs old with a bank account all of us can only dream of.

I am not ready to write him off as a drunk yet. If this is reported weekly then yes he does have a issue with alcohol and has the means to seek help if he chooses to correct it. I just dont think anything from this thread convinces me that he is fall down drunk. Fuck if I was 23 and had his money you can bet your ass that I would be the life of the party from time to time.
