We do not have a very athletic draft class at all... I'm not saying I dislike it but the measurables of some of the players is pretty alarming.

Su'a Cravens really sticks out as a very unathletic player whos times measure up closer to an Oline then Safety/LB

I hope not but Cravens could easily be the big miss of this draft class

Nawrocki's Draft Guide had him running a 4.65, electronically timed. Karl Joseph clocked in at 4.50 and Von Bell at 4.53. But Cravens has at least 20 pounds on each of them.

Yep because the NFL is all about 40 times & bench press reps at the combine. If that were the case then scouts would not be needed since any fool could find the fastest & strongest. Football is about a lot more than that & a lot of these workout warriors don't do so great once they wear an NFL uniform.

Just about every analyst I saw over the weekend loved the Cravens pick & it is a major reason why the Redskins appear to have had one of the better drafts over the extended weekend.

BTW - the Redskins 7th rd pick - Keith Marshall Georgia RB - ran a 4.3 at the combine - one of the fastest times ever. However - that guarantees nothing - hopefully he pans out.

Cravens has a slow 40, vertical jump, and broad jump...

His athleticism is definitely a big question mark and cant go unnoticed... Im definitely pretty skeptical about the pick but love the idea of having a tweener just was hoping to have one a bit more athletic

How did those picks from last yr work out? Not too bad. Until SM screws up really bad I am going to take his opinion over yours any day of the week in regards to the draft. We will see.

4.71 for a WR is molasses. That Jerry Rice will suck.

Can a slow 40 time be indicative of a player that won't be able to play in the NFL? Yes. Then look at the game tape against teams he played that had future NFL players...then make a decision.

The real proof is on the film. While measurables can tell part of the story, how they translate in terms of production is what's key. Bill Parcells once observed that measurables might be nice, but "can they guy play football?"
