Pass The Blame

OK, I think we all blamed this season on different things before settling on the current opinion we may have. How many different things have you blamed it on? I know I started by blaming the defense, then I started blaming the lack of scoring and our offense, looking at games now there are times where it looks like we dont care so I'm settled on Mac being the problem.

1. it all starts and ends with the coaching of this team. the players for whatever reason gave up/ dont want to play for mac. I'm not saying that is right but it is what it is. Change coaching staff the ENTIRE staff because the powerplay and defense is horrible and i think you will see the players change their tune

I know YOU blame it on more than 1 thing....at the start of the year you were POSITIVE it was Marty's fault. Hell, just a couple of days ago you were blaming the season on Lou for crying out loud

yeah marty lets in more then usual fluky goals i will say that....but i dont think he likes maclean either..how else can you explain his horrible play (imo) his horrible play.

The players, coaching, and captain Lou are all to blame.

Lou for making some minor changes to a team that he thought was good and needed some offensive power in Kovy.

The players for not giving it their all game in game out....then come out and say they weren't prepared, don't understand why they are in such a slump.

The coaching for not getting this team to respond, buying into their style of play, and making sure the players are prepared or rip them one while the game is going and they show zero energy.

Plenty of blame to go around to all!

The only thing I can pin on Lou would be not changing coaches and even then if I was in his shoes I can see why he doesnt. We cant blame him because the moves he made didnt work out. Like I said before, most of us were saying the things he did were good moves and analyst were saying NJ was going to be a great team because of them. Thats the GM's job, to make moves that people think will help your team, we really cant blame him for them not working out.

I know I might get ripped for this, but with the money, picks we gave up for Kovy I think we could have got more bang for what we gave up. I'll admit I'm not a real Kovy fan.

It's not strange, I said over at the swamp that last year I thought Atlanta won because I thought Kovy would be gone this year. And then when we resigned him I said the trade was a push at best since because of the trade Atlanta got to trade and sign for some really good players.

Let me just tell you guys it tooks the Flyers one win to turn the season around. We won 5-2ish to the Lightning, then won in a SO to the Canes to close out 2009.

Ilya Kovalchuk is not a leader and shouldn't be counted on to carry your team in all situations. His -15 proves that.

The veterans are obviously not paying JMac any attention what-so-ever. Which, of course, means nobody else is either.

Greene and Tallinder are not NHL ready defensemen. Yes, Greene scores, but..


...and the Devils back checking is terrible. In yesterday's game alone, nobody had their head on a swivel looking for the open man that was crashing the net. My Flyer's played like shit yesterday and still scored 5 because nobody took their man and everyone was basically allowed to stand there and crash the net on Hedberg.


Things look kinda crappy right now, but you'll get it going eventually. Hell....you fuckers always do!

In my opinion Mac has to go. I knew he'd last this long and probably longer because Lou just won't seem to fire him, i'm afraid until i hear the news that Maclean is out i'm not interested.
