Lol, announcers have been talking all intermission long how Detroit needs to come out and take it to 'em...and Florida takes a 3-1 lead 30 seconds into the period.

The Wings were a turnover machine in the second period and the pieces of the third. Isn't it strange how this team seems to play this team like a scrimmage against a college team's castoffs early in the game each time they match up? A few brain teasers for Babs to contemplate: Why not take a time out with 10 seconds to go in the game to bring The Magic Man back on the ice? He was your best player all game long, and to have any chance to win the game, you had to win the faceoff in their end; and, recalling that their are only a couple of other players in the league that can handle the puck, read the play, set up scoring chances, and light the lamp, as he can do, wouldn't it have been a good idea to have him on the ice in that critical situation, in lieu of Riley Sheahan? Also, what is your obsession with continuing to put Kindl on the PP? He just doesn't belong there; his decision making is not at the level needed for the expectations required to manage the job of a guy on the back end of a successful PP? Granted, he is playing better than he has in the past, but he still makes far too many mistakes to rely on him to be responsible for that task. Wouldn't it be more beneficial to put a reliable forward there with wheels and a better feel for what's going on out there, not only to increase the scoring chances but also to raising the consistency of maintaining control of the puck?

Panthers haven't lost two regulation games in a row since the first week of the season so I'm not sure why people still take them for granted - they're a good team

Why not take a time out with 10 seconds to go in the game to bring The Magic Man back on the ice?

He would have, but he already burned his timeout in the second period trying to preserve a 1-goal deficit after a long defensive zone shift and an icing.

I don't put any blame on Babs for last night's loss.

Sheahan, Franzen, Weiss, Andersson, Miller and Quincey were not skating well.
Helm, Glendening, Smith, Ericsson and Kindl kept mishandling the puck.
Kronwall and DeKeyser made a couple uncharacteristically bad passes.
Even the three goal scorers Datsyuk, Tatar and Nyquist kept over-handling the puck into traffic.

I thought Zetterberg and Jurco had a pretty good game... Otherwise it was pretty sloppy for everyone, including Jimmy Howard.

It happens. Brush off the dirt and get ready for Dallas.
