Angry OrchadI was wondering who the hell he was. He was making plays.
First, it’s great to see our team compete. They were down 14 early and then dominated the last three qtrs, save a few plays. Second, Haskins is improving. This experience is invaluable. He has a long way to go, but he is doing all we ask at this point. The most important might be he isn’t turning it over very much. And damn, he has a gun. There were a couple throws that made my jaw drop. He seems to play better when the offense’s tempo is quicker.
He needs to work on his accuracy. He also tends to pull it down and run to early sometimes when maybe a side or up step would buy him the time he needs. Too many times he took off where their receivers wide open. But there were a few times later in the game where he did take a step and made a good throw under pressure. all in all, I’ll take how he played as a big positive.
Oh yeah. Just hope people understand that there may be setbacks. Especially as opposing defenses get more tape on him..he is learning about what defenses do . Now he will have to learn a new offense but seeing these live game defenses are invaluable at this point
That’s what hunger does for you.
