We can't know for sure but it looked like Norman was turning the route over to a single high safety. Anyone's guess who was wrong unless Hoffman knows the call.

It was cover 4, so there was no single high safety, ol sport.

Try to keep up.

BTW, where was the other safety if it was Cover 4? Geronimo was running down the center of the field so splitting cover 4 …. where was the other safety?

I'll be interested to see if Lauvao gets his job back or do they go with the lineup that they had out there Sunday moving forward.

Bill Callahan, not one to make decisions in haste, issued Lauvao a new state of the art GPS device...

Anybody remember the debate here on Vita Vea? Whew!!!

I was a Payne guy from day 1. I remember I posted his YouTube highlights video real early. I will admit I was becoming a Minkah guy the closer we got to the draft, but was good with Payne or Fitzpatrick. Never wanted Vea. Its early to close the book on Vea, but I know what we have in Payne and I'm good.

I remember that an average at best OL for Penn State had a good day against VV and his team. Now VV made a hell of a play on a punt but glad they got this one right …. so far. It is only three games.

the other safety moved to cover the slot wr on the opposite side of the field.

Have a look for yourself:

Can't-Miss Play: Packers QB Rodgers hits WR Allison on 64-yard TD

Do you have any other questions I can answer for you?
What is funny is that Norman wanted no part of anyone thinking he blew coverage. See how he doesn't run directly to the receiver when pursuing and keeps looking back at Swearinger? Am I the only Skins fan who thinks we could replace Norman tomorrow? Dude makes no impact plays, no picks, hates to tackle but likes to peanut punch.

I think he is paid a lot of money for the return the team is getting. Interesting that when watching the play that went to Allison neither safety went deep. As I said before it looked like Norman was turning him over to a deep zone defender but none was there. Maybe it was cover 15, we'll defend the first 15 yards but anything after that is free. :noidea::scratch:

Are you sure Norman blew the coverage? So the Skins needed a LB and 3 DBs to cover and spy a TE that ran a no frills 5 yd route. With 2 and a half minutes left in the 2nd quarter of a game the Skins were leading 21-3 at the time. While allowing a WR to get behind them because not one of the 3 DBs had any deep responsibility whatsoever?

That said............yeah, Norman made some nice plays and nice near plays when he first arrived. That lasted till the tie with Cincy when by my count. Norman dropped 3 chest high, got both hands on the ball, INTs, 1 would've been a surefire pick 6 and another a very likely pic 6. Since that game he really ain't been shit and I'll co-sign everything you said about his play.
