With the year the conference as a whole has played out I’m calling an upset. Colorado will win.
What if it was terrible because they were young? So is if a positive is 10 of your 11 starters on defense are returning on a terrible defense?
Some of us have been saying it wasn't Browning as much as his OC.What the hell happened to Eason? He was supposed to be an elite QB.
now it shows 40 low and no rain. That is pretty normal this time of year.Whoa!! That’s kind of crazy, right?
Personally, I'd rather stay with Helton ONE more year and see what the new AD can do other than get Meyer. IMO, USC has had enough bad issues from the sanctions to the latest scandals and Meyer just has potential baggage to maybe cause further issues for the school down the road.
I am NOT criticizing Urban Meyer's "on field" coaching abilities, as he has the Natties on his resume, but in the SoCal atmosphere, it's a different type of "pressure cooker" in college football.
MY 3 cents, anyway...

They changed line coaches and it looks like that was an abject failure. UW has the worst OL I've seen since before the Sark years. And with the same guys that got it done last year.
I'm not saying Eason doesn't have his issues, but when every single target he has drops passes and they have multiple a week, he's put back behind a line that simply cannot block even mediocre pass rushes, and the play calling doesn't adapt to what the defenses are doing, what really do you expect?
< I've had that tagline for more than a year. Until Petersen gets serious about taking the next step and can bring himself to fire under producing staff, this is more or less where they will stay.
We watched Sark go through it while he held onto a worthless DC for a few seasons too long before FINALLY getting it. This year has to be the final straw. There's no way he can look at this team and not see the glaring reality of what his staff isn't doing well. It's entirely on him if he doesn't see it and do something about it. Even if the next guy is also not right, at least make the effort ffs.

Yeah, I like and have defended Helton. So obviously I'll have no issue with it if they keep him one more year to see what he can do now that USC finally has some measure of administrative stability.
Having said that, if USC gets word that they can get Meyer, they kind of have to hire him because of the very pressure cooker you talk about.
If they were to hire Meyer and it didn't work out, you just move on to the next coach and hopefully the one's who insisted on his hire will stfu.
But just imagine the uproar if the retain Helton, things don't get better and it gets leaked that USC could have gotten Meyer.
Happy Thanksgiving to my Pac12 brethren. May you and your families have a fabulous day and awesome meal together.
And then may all of your teams suck ass the rest of the year.
