I was texting some of my buddies:

Anyone else think that Hurley did nothing more than recognize that he could be the martyr for this game? ASU is down 2 possessions with a minute left. They were coming back but anything more than about 2 possessions under a minute is significantly more difficult. He starts dancing, gets booted, and tries to get the fans hyped on his way out.

They lose (which was almost certain with the foul called that led to the T), but he fires up the crowd to put more asses in the seats, give AZ the finger, and tell his team that the loss is on him, and that they played well enough to win.

I bet they ate that shit up. Kind of like what Boeheim did against Duke a couple years ago.
you jealous bro.... You are a bobby lover, admit it.

Ya got me. I'd definitely trade in 3 Elite 8s, 4 Sweet 16s, 3 conference championships, 5 first round picks, 3 30-win seasons, the nation's longest current home winning streak, and head coach of the Gold Medal U19 National Team; all for a coach that has to throw a tantrum and get tossed just to beg fans to give a shit.

haha, crazy how cbs sports has 9 Pac-12 teams in the tourney right now. Obviously very unlikely... but shows how the pac set themselves up for success with great non-conference play.

I think 7 or 8 teams could make it this year. The conference is deep as hell though and injuries happen so we'll have to just wait and see but it should be a great year of conference play.

I agree sting. There are 7-8 Pac teams in the top 50 of just about every RPI ranking. And another couple/few are knocking on the door. Not that RPI is the end-all-be-all, but it's a decent indicator. The Pac has tons of strength going into conference play.

That CBS link has Oregon St as the projected conference winner. I haven't seen much of them outside of highlights. They legit? GP's son looks awesome.

Cal is crazy athletic. Too much for my Buffs to handle, but at least they scraped out a Bay area split. Almost choked it vs Stanford. Time to take down Utah :D

No, just...no.

Yes, they are good. GP III is certainly legit. But that team isn't going to win this conference. Neither are the other 10 teams not named Arizona.

BUT it will be a much closer race than the last two years, with Cal, OSU, USC, Oregon and Colorado all challenging. I think both Utah and UCLA are already out of the title race, those are two AWFUL losses by UCLA and one AWFUL loss by Utah and it's clear neither team has the makeup to overcome an 0-2 start (to win the conference, that is. I think both make the tournament still, but UCLA is on thin ice with that start).

The depth of this league is truly impressive, and if Washington somehow continues this roll they are on (I'm not a believer) then 9 teams is actually a possibility. But I'd imagine they would have to go 12-6 in conference at worst to have a chance, and I don't see that happening.

Not that it matters but how is Arizona-UCLA on ESPN2 and Illinois-MSU on ESPN? Just seems like more east coast bias. Little things like that grind my gears.

Like a 15-2 run or something like that. Then little coaches son bitch boy Alford hits a three on the buzzer.

I know it was a meaningless complaint but UCLA-Arizona is the best rivalry in the conference and on the west coast. It should have been on ESPN. It usually is.

Great game. Congrats to UCLA for the win. We lost this game in the first half. PAC 12 on the road is no joke!

Can't wait for Saturday in Galen... I'm hoping to be in attendance, we need to fucking pack the place. Getting sick of seeing meh crowds for this team, that's really good.

Unfortunately I don't see Zona getting swept in LA, but hey the PAC 12 is fucking crazy this year, right? :D
