Miller needs to stop over coaching and calling momentum killing timeouts. He can't stand the fact that we aren't dominant on defense instead of praising and encouraging our offense.

What an incredible game. Players on both teams making play after play even though they were obviously dead tired.

Yeah, our offense was horrendous the last 25 minutes of that game, Arizona's defense really picked up towards the end and made it real difficult. We got just enough stops and trips to the free throw line to get the win. Huge win.

Jacobs played 50+ minutes with a fucked up ankle, he must've been dead and he was horrible in overtime.

UCLA on Wednesday should be a ton of fun as well.....

I disagree. I still think we are going to win the conference. We played TERRIBLY this weekend and lost on a buzzer beater and in 4 OT to two tournament teams on the road.

We could easily be 3-0 on the road.

No doubt we need to play better, but CSM will right the ship. My prediction has gone from 14-4 to 13-5 in PAC, but I believe that wins us the conference

The Pac12 is looking really deep this year. A 12-6 record wouldn't surprise me at all. That'd mean going 11-4 from here on out which isn't terrible all things considered.

Quite frankly, I think the Pac12 is the most competitive from top to bottom I've seen it in YEARS.

Both AZ schools look like tourney teams, LA schools are tough and should both be dancing, Oregon schools are both scary as well. Then you got Cal, Utah, Colorado, Washington all in the mix as well. This will be a crazy season.

The Pac 12 has really been an incredible conference this year. The conference only has a COMBINED 7 losses against RPI 100+ teams.

Oregon: vs. UNLV(142)
Arizona State: vs. Marquette(103), Sacramento State(277)
California: vs. San Diego State(101), vs. Richmond(111)
Washington: Oakland(155)
Washington State: @ Idaho(146)

Honestly, the conference has really only taken on 3 bad losses OOC(Sac. St, Oakland, Idaho). Really shouldn't come as a surprise that 92% of the conference is in the top 70 of the RPI.

I don't think there are any great teams in the conference, but the depth of the league is pretty amazing. I think 8 bids is a realistic possibility come Selection Sunday.

The pac 12 race is wide open at this point if you ask me. We've been saying for a number of years now that the parity within the conference has been building up but I dont think Ive EVER seen quite like this. On any given night, any team can win. I love it to be honest!

Now with Trier out for a while, winning the conference is that much harder. Sean Miller is going to have to perform his best coaching job of his career! lets do this! BEAR DOWN

Agreed. I said before the season started that 6 or 7 bids would be possible, but now with USC playing the way they are, ASU overachieving and most of the other mid-tier teams meeting or exceeding expectations it's going to be interesting to see how much respect they get come tourney time.

If the conference wasn't so deep I would say 9 could be a possibility but I think they'll beat up on each other too much for that to happen.

Haven't been paying attention how does Oregon's team look this year?

They look pretty solid for the most part. A couple losses that aren't great for their resume, but not too big of a deal.

I think they finish 2nd or 3rd in the Pac. Altman usually gets them hot at the right time so I expect them to go on a run sooner or later.

Yeah, Altman is pretty good at building and motivating a team, not elite by any means, but he usually gets them to the dance and past the first round or two more often than not.

With the Trier injury, I'm much less sure of our ability to win the PAC now. What are everyone's prediction for the final conference standings?

I'm gonna go:
1) Arizona
2) Oregon
3) USC
4) UCLA
5) Oregon St
6) Cal
7) Utah
8) ASU
9) Colorado
10) Washington
11) Stanford
12) WSU

It's insane that we have 11 teams that, if they made it into the tourney, could probably win a game.

I have no idea, honestly. I don't normally follow things too close until after the Cards season is over which, until recently is after the new year. This is the latest I've still had my team in the mix since Kurt Warner, so have been enjoying it. I'll start looking at things more closely over the next couple weeks.
