The Derski
No Fat Chicks
Miller needs to stop over coaching and calling momentum killing timeouts. He can't stand the fact that we aren't dominant on defense instead of praising and encouraging our offense.
What an incredible game. Players on both teams making play after play even though they were obviously dead tired.
I disagree. I still think we are going to win the conference. We played TERRIBLY this weekend and lost on a buzzer beater and in 4 OT to two tournament teams on the road.
We could easily be 3-0 on the road.
No doubt we need to play better, but CSM will right the ship. My prediction has gone from 14-4 to 13-5 in PAC, but I believe that wins us the conference
The Pac 12 has really been an incredible conference this year. The conference only has a COMBINED 7 losses against RPI 100+ teams.
Oregon: vs. UNLV(142)
Arizona State: vs. Marquette(103), Sacramento State(277)
California: vs. San Diego State(101), vs. Richmond(111)
Washington: Oakland(155)
Washington State: @ Idaho(146)
Honestly, the conference has really only taken on 3 bad losses OOC(Sac. St, Oakland, Idaho). Really shouldn't come as a surprise that 92% of the conference is in the top 70 of the RPI.
I don't think there are any great teams in the conference, but the depth of the league is pretty amazing. I think 8 bids is a realistic possibility come Selection Sunday.
Agreed. I said before the season started that 6 or 7 bids would be possible, but now with USC playing the way they are, ASU overachieving and most of the other mid-tier teams meeting or exceeding expectations it's going to be interesting to see how much respect they get come tourney time.
If the conference wasn't so deep I would say 9 could be a possibility but I think they'll beat up on each other too much for that to happen.
What happened to Trier?
broke his hand in the 2nd half on Saturday. Out 4-6 weeks I guess.
Haven't been paying attention how does Oregon's team look this year?
Yeah, Altman is pretty good at building and motivating a team, not elite by any means, but he usually gets them to the dance and past the first round or two more often than not. They look pretty solid for the most part. A couple losses that aren't great for their resume, but not too big of a deal.
I think they finish 2nd or 3rd in the Pac. Altman usually gets them hot at the right time so I expect them to go on a run sooner or later.
