If TrustMeI'mWrong was even halfway accurate regarding recruiting, then Michigan would be #2 in the Big 10 and undefeated against Big 10 West teams. This is obviously not the case as they are #6 in the Big 10.
Clemson finished #2 in 2015 and won the Natty in 2016.

Dabo Swinney did not have the benefits of Alabama, Oklahoma, Ohio St blueblood status. He is an elite coach, established a culture, gets his players lined up properly, and surrounds himself with good assistants.
If Nebraska switched locations with Clemson — I agree — Nebraska would have a great shot to regain elite status.
Unfortunately for Nebraska, they are bordered by states that produce next to no blue chip recruits. If Nebraska was bordered by Georgia, like Clemson is — yes, you could build a pipeline for recruits. That’s how Clemson got DeShaun Watson and Trevor Lawrence, who have helped transform them into a premier program.
Nebraska is bordered by South Dakota, Kansas, Colorado, Iowa. Instead of playing in a conference where you’d play heavyweights like Texas and Oklahoma, which would get you national tv coverage — your big division games are now Wisconsin and Iowa. Not exactly marquee matchups recruits are looking to take part in.
I’m sure these are all things you know, but just don’t want to accept.
